They aren't blocking Zionists from campus
I want to give you guys an example of a super antisemite meme, that circulates basically only in alt-right circles (but i might not be as knowledgeable of tankie twitter as victor is) , that is actually part of a discourse that needs some context to be instantly recognizeable (here the pattern is "very succesful people in history who were antisemites").
The main neo-nazi / white supremacy twitter account (garbage human) got 11k like with this today

Meme is smart to bypass censorship on most platforms, because it can always be said that "see how even intelligent people can be very wrong, beware!", while of course it's "see one of the most intelligent man was antisemite and believed jews are behind everything bad, you should too".
This is to make it clear no one here is saying that's only the radical left which is antisemite.
These people are having so much fun rn, basically anytime either an IDF or Hamas dies, or a Israeli civilian or a palestinian civilian dies, the world is a better place for them.
I guess that is the legal question, and how careful the protestors are being to only singling out "Zionists" and not "Jews" for their 'separate but equal' treatment.
-I scraped this off the internet of relevant laws that are possibly being violated.
In CA, a government run school telling the police not to intervene in behavior threatening to an ethnic minority is a violation of:
Fed. law Title VI
Fed. law Section 1983
CA Civil Code Section 51
CA Government Code Section 11135
--And it goes without saying none of this is doing anything for the Palestinian people, or even Hamas. You could argue it is doing the opposite, if you think DJT being the next president will be bad for Palestinians/Hamas.
This is just narcissistic children making it all about them.
I didn't realize the Democratic convention was being held in Chicago. With all the echos of 1968 I'm going to start loading up on popcorn now.
Why was that kid singled out?
I dont think he was singled out. The UCLA komrades have established "liberated zones" where no Zionists are allowed to enter. Any self professed Zionist would have been rejected. I am sure if he had hidden his Star of David and professed his loyalty to the Party he would have been allowed through.

even in the staged video which is clearly light most favorable to the plaintiff it's clear that they weren't preventing a protected class from entering their encampment, but at best a political opinion.

One would have to be quite daft to sincerely interpret that meme in this way.
Dunno where that gate was, but if it was just through their encampment area they were blocking everyone who didn't get approved and issued a wristband when I was there. When I was there though it was trivial to walk around the barricaded area - not sure how much that has changed - and someone could film something to make it look like it was a lot more in the way than it really was if they wanted to.
"Intifada" is clearly just about trying to "stop the genocide" of course
Looks to me like he was a known provocateur who was trying to start trouble in the encampment. He wasn't barred from campus, just from walking through the encampment. This is how people committed to nonviolence deal with *******s.
Don't you think the Hamas supporters are the provocateurs?
