So maybe 5 people were injured? In Iraq 4400 US soldiers killed and 32000 wounded in action. You'd expect more injuries than death.
I can't find wounded in action since the ground invasion, but about 3100 Israeli soldiers reported wounded since and including 10/7.
closer to 5 people per helicopter. maybe in the fighting no one died and it was all injuries.
point is, you dont know about the casualties and Israel keeps them hidden.
but to your initial point, it doesnt matter if Israel has only lost 260 some soldiers (lol). they are still losing bc they have not been able to achieve any military objectives yet. the Resistance is still functioning and inflicting casualties in every single area of the strip that IDF/IOF soldiers occupy.
the only thing that Israel has done is destroy the infrastucture and murder a bunch of civilians. maybe this will bring the war to a victorious end eventually but they dont seem at all closer than they were on Oct 8th.
like, its so funny that no one talks about the tunnels anymore. Israel just gave up on it and decided to snipe children and destroy hospitals. its absolutely insane to think they are winning with that strategy.
Only Hamas estimate of Hamas fighters killed I can find is 6000 killed from February.
The Palestinians need a great leader to arise. Someone who understands that they are going backwards with their current strategy. Trying to use violence against Israel is a death wish. The Palestinians need to be re branded. All fantatics need to be removed. The school curriculum must remove teaching hate against Jews. Money needs to be spent on state of the art infrastructure. All radical Islamist groups must be removed. There needs to be a nation wide acceptance of the State of Israel.
Something needs to change. There is a reason this has been going on for so many years. A new strategy that is grounded in reality would be a start. Nobody is going back to their homes during the Nakba.
you should post the link. bc from what I have read since the start, Hamas has steadfastly refused to give casualty numbers.
The only reference I get and it pops up a lot is like this and it just says a Hamas official in Qatar:
A Hamas official based in Qatar told Reuters that the group estimated it had lost 6,000 fighters during the four-month-old conflict, half the 12,000 Israel says it has killed.
The Israelis have a moral obligation to treat the civilians better even if you acknowledge collateral damage is inevitable and believe Israel does not have an obligation to put troops at risk to protect Palestinian lives. What Bibi is doing with aid is callous and counterproductive. What he’s doing only makes three people’s happy:His own right wing cronies driven by hatredIran,
I agree a moral people should have a moral obligation to limit civilian casualties. I do think Israel is doing more than people perceive to limit civilian casualties. I also think that when us or them situations pop up the answer is them. Israeli citizens are mostly supporting Bibi.

Highly unlikely any positive change happens. The rest of the world seems determined to make sure Hamas stays in power, so hard to see any mechanism they dont stay in power. And at the end of the day, the Palestinian resistance is a business designed first and foremost to enrich leadership. And as a business, Hamas has had a very bad last few quarters, so it is going to be very aggressive trying to reverse this. In fact, there is probably going to be a lot of turf war violence as they brutally re-exert control.

thanks
not sure how credible when its essentially an anonymous source who isnt located in Gaza. 6k dead would be a reasonable figure. so would 12k. or 2k. its impossible to tell.

arent you an American? wtf with this "us or them" scenario? Hamas aint coming to America lol.

Israelis support the war which is not surprising. Wars are almost always popular when they're happening. But the bolded is a weird take. Bibi is famously and wildly unpopular in Israel.
Decerebrated but nah

but the war is super popular. mongo is proly just misinformed.
Vic is navigating the world and all its externalities so deftly.
Finkelstein is a jew from brooklyn.
Why is a jew from brooklyn telling us they suffocated infant babies to death?
Because you would not believe it if a non jew told you this.
All hospitals were cut off from from power by the idf even though they knew they would kill all the babies in the incubators doing so.
= babies in incubators died = war crime
= atrocity.
As a gazan you cannot get out or in, youre Stuck like in jail in Gaza with bombs raining on you daily no matter what you do. They all have missing limbs and blown up family members. Wtf is this? Nothing gets in or out of Gaza. They banned everything you cant even have chocolate.
Its a concentration camp, thats what it is, where they are killing infants in incubators. There is no excuse for none of this.
1.15 M children slowly tortured to death. With no way to go. And we are supplying weapons...
Yes it was the Wall Street Journal that broke the story
https://www.wsj.com/us-news/education/st...
Activist Groups Trained Students for Months Before Campus Protests
Left-wing groups and veteran demonstrators provided guidance and support before rise of pro-Palestinian encampments
But it's being covered more broadly
Ya it's pretty crazy how many babies they murdered. And the psychopaths in this thread make jokes about. Liberals really just love murder.
Seems WSJ found a way to stymie the archive sites
What's up with the protests in Israel? Are they pro hamas agitators too? Tens of thousands hit the streets this weekend but no mention of that here for reasons unknown

They have been going on for over 4 months.
Before that there was a different set of protests that had been going on for 6 months
The discontent with Bibi's government isn't new.
