Since WSOP locked their thread, why can't we have our own?
The buzz you could tell brought some people on, because the morning tourneys were getting action and beating the guarantees. The buzz has kinda come and gone, recently those aren’t coming close to making the guarantee’s. I’d imagine the jersey pool turned back to stars etc..
Personally, I don’t think this gets done before the 28th. Pretty silent recently from some of the poker outlets on the story. Fingers crossed because I’m not sure I can play another summer on this software. I will be playing a few live events this summer “ hopefully “ and I wont be in any rush to run back to online if we’re going to be stuck another year with this outdated software. Personal feelings
Whats your issue with the software? I'm just curious. other than the glitch where sometimes it'll tell you your seats ready and then tell you it's reserve when you try to sit I don't see it to be too bad. Is there something on the poker 8 software thats better?

Im also curious. Thats the only bug I know of. Been playing there since the beginning.
I understand the lack of mobile capability. Aside from that, while admittedly basic, i have no real particular problem with the software.
They choose not to put any money into it. I dont really blame them. There's no competition.

As 1/2 Omaha player, the geolocation 90% of the time is never an issue, but just my observation, when the traffic picks up in the summer, it will sometimes become janky. Also have had issues with friends when we stay on the strip for events with the geolocation as well. Most would say it’s long over due for some sort of revamping of the software. Revamping of the software is usually a hot topic on the felts each summer.

Im a Vegas local. In eight+? years I've lived on both sides of town.... been exclusively on Cox... and NEVER had any geolocation issues. In the entire time ive played, I think ive got booted off twice in all that time.
I have a feeling that MOST of the focus on the software comes from guys that play mostly live and dont have mobile accessibility to games that they'd want to multi-task.... and/or from individuals who are looking for an excuse to complain about as to why they don't play more.. when the answer might be a bit more "basic"?

LOL. My friend, I’m not trying to argue with you on this. You seem a little hostile. FWIW wsop / Caesar’s has always paid quickly and customer service has always been great. I’ve cashed out numerous 4 figure payouts and been paid promptly. The software needs a revamp is all most people will agree whether it’s basic or not.

Lol, the internet is a funny thing.... and clearly im not very good at it. My sincere apologies. I have absolutely zero objection to anything you're saying and was not in any way trying to be hostile.
I should've acknowledged that these things were happening to you. I was just contrasting that they're strangely not happening to me and that I've never had a real issue. I similarly would love to see a software upgrade. I just think the complaints likely far outweigh the actual issues with the software.... and forgive me, but I never meant to imply those complaints were coming from you. Actually, quite the opposite.

Btw... Im all for criticizing them. But anyone who plays... like we do... knows the main problem isnt the software.
They're run so poorly its almost impossible. Not reaching out to players.... and allowing this to sit in limbo for as long as it has.... is inexcusable and not at all surprising.

Like seriously wtf is this schedule? $100 4 max at 6/9p est on Saturday? $500 freezeout that gets 40 runners that gtowiz every spot? $30 R&A that your in for heaps and don't break even on a min cash? The satellites never even run and when they do only pay 1 seat lmao the rakeback is trash as well

These are management problems, obviously. Just hire a single individual who has even a small clue what they're doing.
I get the software development costs money. But seriously just hire one competent person to revamp the schedule. You'll make the money back on the hire... immediately.
Im playing mostly on stars. In NJ. I have that geolocation go off constantly for years on wsop never stars. But I always X the box out and keep playing. Ignoring seems to work for me. Would love to see big blinds but other than that I don't mind wsop software.

That goes off for everyone. Means nothing. I have never had one single legitimate geolocation issue on wsop.
That said the table seat glitch is serious issue that has killed many great games.

Everything kinda went silent over the past few days. Crickets from some of the poker sites that reported this “update / merger” You always stay optimistic when it comes to cards, but I’m becoming skeptical and feeling this might be delayed until after the series.
The speculation on twitter was the upgrade/merger would happen on May 8th, based on the limited tournament schedule dates showing and some other things.
Support just confirmed the upgrade date to be May 8th.
They said we should get an email with details sometime before then. All games and tournaments currently offered in NV/NJ will transfer over to the MI software and add to that.
He was saying balance would transfer over but still not sure, details probably in that email.
Hey parisron have you spoken to support since this post? i'm wondering if their giving players that call different info since the 8th
I think it was 4 or 5 days ago, it depends on who answers as to how incompetent they are, they had me uninstalling and reinstalling the software as if that would make the upgrade happen. It's a clown show over there.

Some signs of life from wsop.com would be nice
Even if they got approved I doubt the update will happen anytime soon, WSOP is focused on the series starting in 2 weeks
At this point, it's much easier to keep things as is than deal with all the issues that inevitably come with the upgrade
