I find Southampton away a **** fixture that we always lose but since it makes for a long journey for the Geordies I will allow it.
My 50th tomorrow. Farke didn’t give me the present I wanted.
On the plus side, my best mate is Pompey, so we have a home and away fest
Emery with the big contract extension
Good for Chelsea not blindly going for which ever "big name" they could find on the market.
Instead they just went for the one that looks most like Pep
Smart. Werner did really well imo, but if we can get kick the permanent can down the road for 12 months, so much the better.
When 2 goals in 13 games is a forward doing really well I think we're beginning to see the depth of the problems at the Sours (it isn't only the players).

What a surprise lol.
- He isn't a striker (and clearly his finishing is problematic)
- You clearly didn't watch the games (obviously)
- It's super low risk
- Nobody thinks he's going to turn into prime Ribery
Brennan Johnson had the same amount of assists as Martin Odegaard last year. Not too many people would look at that and snap conclude they're as good at creating goals as each other.
Werner = Saka clearly

1. True but afaics he's only in the 75th percentile for assists.
2. Obviously
3. True-ish but takes up a squad space and playing time so it's not low cost
4. True
Ok. understats only seems to show attacking stats for attacking players, and not the progressive passes and defensive work they (or some of them) do, right?
I guess that's why most of the podcasts use fbref (the pro version of it that I don't have).
It’s astonishing how much Maresca looks like if you asked AI to combine Pep and Arteta.
Boehly and co. are outsmarting everyone else so badly it’s not even fair.
