2024 NFL Off-season Thread
:(
Ok that was a ****ed up thing for me to say even as a joke. I was out of line, Mickey hasn’t said or done anything racist and I shouldn’t have said that or made that implication. My bad dude
Yay! We're all friends again!
And we all like Rodgers again right guise? 100 mill for two years of quaterbacking, I'm gonna need one playoff run. One time
Best I can do is what Favre gave ya

If he's healthy and performs at a good enough level he has the weapons around him and one of the best defenses in the entire league....... for a Super Bowl run.
For fun I threw something nominal on Jets/Yankees/Knicks to title parlay.
Mecole Hardman of recent SuperBowl fame is signing a new one year contract with the Chiefs per TheAthletic.
Probably no confirmation from the team today because of the BJ Thompson seizure/cardiac arrest.
NFL instructed eagles and packers not to wear green in brazil because gangs
"They probably gonna have, like, armored vehicles following us," Jacobs said. "I said, bro, Why are we out here? Why are we here?'"
"... I was looking forward to it. I'm like, man, this 'bout to be a fun week. Telling us all of that, they like, 'Yeah, nah, it's not gonna be like that.'"
The Bleacherreport article says the "ban" is because they're playing in Corinthians stadium where people aren't supposed to wear green because that's the color of their biggest rival Palmeiras.
Jacobs continued: "They said, we're not going to Rio. They was like, 'Man, it's one of them places where they probably won't even let us leave the hotels.'"
Imagine a Brazilian team playing in Chicago and a player being surprised they're aren't going to do siteseeing in New York.
Josh Jacobs apparently also says "They was like, Man, it's one of them places"
So I guess Tua has tape worms, only weighs 130 lbs now, shame. Sorry Miami I guess its just the Jets year.
Classic Ruxin.
sorry newguyhere
it just doesn’t feel the same when it’s not about the other panthers
Feel like we need something to argue about. So here's my QB rankings for the upcoming season:
- In before Tua too high.
- Allen and Herbert were tough because I can see both having off years due to the dismantling of their offenses. Ultimately I went with Allen due to having slightly better weapons and his ability to rush and extend plays.
- 2 through 4 can be in any order, but right now I think those are the clear top 3 after Mahomes.
- I did want to put Rodgers higher, but he's 3 years removed from his last good season. I do think he's definitely better than everyone below him.
- I didn't include any rookies
Patrick Mahomes
Lamar Jackson
CJ Stroud
Joe Burrow
Dak Prescott
Tua Tagovailoa
Jared Goff
Brock Purdy
Jalen Hurts
Josh Allen
Jordan Love
Matthew Stafford
Kirk Cousins
Deshaun Watson
Trevor Lawrence
Kyler Murray
Justin Herbert
Baker Mayfield
Aaron Rodgers
Geno Smith
Will Levis
Derek Carr
Anthony Richardson
Sam Darnold
Russell Wilson
Aidan O'Connell
Daniel Jones
Jacoby Brissett
Bryce Young
Oh, and
That’s a ridiculous list.
Allen has to be in the top 3 and he’s almost certainly 2.
No idea what exact position to put him but he's clearly in the tier right after Mahomes. Herbert is either in the same tier or the one after.
I don't think QB rankings should be dependent on weapons/rest of offense. If you put Mahomes on the Panthers he might not be able to make the playoffs but he'd still be the best QB in the league.
Richardson way tooo low
mahomey ranked too high for bahbah

That's exactly what it should be otherwise you're just dealing in hypotheticals and what-ifs.
Allen and Herbert are going to regress this season. Sorry.

That's not a QB ranking but a team offense ranking.
By what measure?
If Allen comes close to his 2023 stats with weaker players around him, you would claim he regressed?
