Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
My 90% estimate was adult residents of Gaza who have expressed intentions to harm Israel. Now they haven't expressed them to me, so I don't have an accurate count, but I imagine a vast majority of them have expressed those intentions to other Gazans. Certainly by now, if not previously. It would take a saint not to do that.
It might be 90% who would like a state, or to Israel to "**** off" and stuff like that, but i don't think it's 90% at all willing to use violence to achieve their preferences.
Especially not among women which are half of the population.
it seems likely that most gazans are just like most people in that they want a good life for themselves and their families
they need leaders who can convince them that this is achievable without first applying holocaust 2.0. goes without saying that this wont be their current leaders

We may be talking about different things. I was thinking of those who had expressed desires of harming Israelis, not necessarily of being willing to be violent themselves.

First sentence describes most people around the world including Gazans. Problem is it isn't achievable while you're living in a prison camp.

I don't think they are as willing to put the disputes of their grandfathers away to get that good life as are most people.

By allowing Hamas a spot in governance, it is hoped that this limits the leaders who want Holocaust 2.0 because the rest of the organization that wants to lead a good life for themselves and their families will pressure the military part not to screw things up

The political part is the people who keep their hostages in their homes
There is no game: you can leave when you want, so it's not a prison.
PW asked the same question, i will answer the same: leave like millions of people already did (and like hundreds of millions did in the past from many countries which sucked to places that sucked less)
Population figures
Main article: Palestinian people
It is estimated that more than 6 million Palestinians live in a global diaspora.[14]
The countries outside the Palestinian territories with significant Palestinian populations are:
Jordan 3,240,000
Israel 1,650,000
Syria 630,000
Chile 500,000 (largest Palestinian community outside the Middle East).
Lebanon 402,582
Saudi Arabia 280,245
Egypt 270,245
United States 255,000 (the largest concentrations in Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles; History of Palestinians in Los Angeles).
Honduras 250,000
Guatemala est. 200,000
Mexico 120,000
Qatar 100,000
Germany 80,000
Kuwait 80,000
El Salvador 70,000
Brazil 59,000
Iraq 57,000
Yemen 55,000
Canada 50,975
Australia 45,000
Libya 44,000
Puerto Rico est. 30,000
Greece est. 30,000
United Kingdom 20,000
Peru 19,000
Denmark 15,000
Colombia 12,000

Paraguay 10,000
Netherlands 9,000
Sweden 7,000
Algeria 4,030
Austria 4,010
Norway 3,825
The rest of Latin America, India, Russia, Sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia has fairly small Palestinian populations. [citation needed]
The majority of the estimated 100,000 Palestinians in the European Union (EU) are in Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. Outside the EU is the United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland. Germany's capital Berlin has one of the largest Palestinian communities outside of the Middle East with about 30,000-40,000 people of Palestinian origin residing in the city (~1% of the total population).[15]
In the United States, this includes a Palestinian community of 800-1,000 in Gallup, New Mexico, highly involved in the area's Southwest jewelry industry.[16] [citation needed]

in april 1945, himmler made secret contact with a swedish aristocrat. he had an offer for the allies
he said the german people would not accept denazification and that the allies would face a thousand years of insurgency, but that if the allies left him in charge he could help ease the transition (there was also some stuff about germany and the allies teaming up against stalin)
no deal then, and no deal now
Hamas has been recruiting and indoctrinating orphans into their rank and file for decades.
To them, as Sinwar (and some of the “more moderate” political leaders in the past) has (have said), martyrdom is preferable to peaceful co-existence.
Hamas needs to go. Its successors need to be crushed. And the brainwashed, homicidal, and suicidal parts of Palestinian populations need to be suppressed so there is room for the “collaborators” to actually govern.

Ok, looks like they can be added to Luciom's death list. How many does that make now?

Crushing the successors will be done in the same manner, involving lots of destruction and death, which assures that there's plenty of recruits for the next successor too.
