WSOP TR: third time is a charm?
Last year didn’t go as well as my first wsop in 2022 when I cashed in all three events I played.
Let’s hope

Nice run, congratulations!
Congratulations! What a terrific run. Sounds like you were locked in from the very start. And sponsored! Great job.
LOL if sponsored means pays for the site then yes, i am sponsored! I threw the patch on when they asked us to sign social media waivers when we made the FT. After I made a huge call down with K high (more later) to get back above a million when we were 4 handed they were all asking me about how to sign up.
Thanks. I’ve tried a handful of different resources and have found this to be the one I connect with the most, and the community element is a huge differentiator. Plus i think Faraz is a good guy. They give incentives for you to wear the patch and I grabbed a few at wsop on Saturday but had no interest in wearing one - a lot of my game is built around my image based upon my apperance, and wearing the patch completely blows that up for people who know anything about Faraz’s game and/or teaching style.
This was an awesome run and it’s nice to get back into the black for the trip. I also really really liked playing at the V. I will probably head back there today to late reg their 1 day seniors. Need to try to get some more sleep!
Great run, congrats!!
Congrats!
I'll do the more detailed writeup of the last couple of days later, but here's the bustout hand -
We were level 24 30,000 / 60,000 / 60,000 and at this point I was the short stack with about 12 BBs. The eventual winner had around half of the chips in play, and each bounty was worth $1k. The second shortest and I have been fairly active, and the CL was only taking half or so of his RFI spots. At an earlier blind vs blind with this guy I called, he raised, I jammed with AJo and he snap called with AT. Unfortunately we chopped that pot.
Here I jammed A5o and he called with 99. No help GG.
GTO Wiz seems to approve, so not much to be done:
Now off to a 100 minute massage then some pool time.
Pretty healthy at dinner break of seniors on second bullet, now around 110k
Bagged! Overall net +$761 for the trip; nice to have a day off today. Seniors event was an absolute blast. My second table was really fun and we laughed our asses off. So much better than the Monster stack where you could hear a pin drop from the jump.
I am really happy with how i have been playing - my situational awareness has enormously benefitted from some studying. I steadily chipped up throughout the day yesterday NEVER having to show down a hand; then won some flips to be the table chip leader heading into the color up after level 10. Lost a 22BB pot w AK
Nice work!!! Hoping for a deep run for you!
Congrats on the bag, even better with a good stack! Go get 'em!
Great job!!

Looks like you're supposed to jam with just about any offsuit ace. Maybe I should get me one of them GTO programs.
Mincash seniors. Headed over to wynn for day 1B of $2,200 mystery bounty.
Congratulations, even though I imagine a mincash isn't what you hoped for.
Yeah but I’m pretty happy with how I played so hard to complain. If people are interested I’ll post some hands from the week.
FPSed myself straight out of the Wynn. Back to be among my people at the 4 pm daily deep stack turbo! First I’ll grab something to eat as Casa Playa, which I love.
This is what $2,200 short rib tacos look like
I know that feeling, brother.
Spin it up in the turbo!!
Wouldn't mind a couple HHs, but no pressure.
I think you alluded to a K high call in your Venetian run. That piqued my interest.
GL in the $400. The three keys to that tournament are running good in all ins, running good in all ins, and running good in all ins.
This was at the final table at the V. I had started as third in chips but my stack dwindled by about 30% after getting reraised a few times and having to fold.
BB was very active and aggressive and has pushed all in a bunch of times before this hand came up:
Level 23 25/50/50
Hero 650 (13BB); I am now short stack 6 left
K♦︎J♦︎ SB calls
BB covers checks
A♣︎T♥︎4♥︎
checks checks
Turn T♣︎
Hero 75000
Villain calls
River 8♣︎
Hero checks
Villain 175000
Hero calls
Villain Q high
An orbit or two later I check raised all in pre in a similar situation and he snap called.
Me AJ
Him AT
Board: something that led to a chop.
The table went absolutely nuts when he said Q high and I said K high.
nice run, well done. are you gonna play the 5k senior's?
Nope. I’m sticking around to see the dead Saturday night with a buddy flying in and then I’m headed home on Sunday. Too much going on to come back. Going to be major fomo.
