Botfarm won $10 Million on WPN
Monitoring the development and profitability of poker bots has become an increasingly challenging task.
Below are my findings related to the bots identified on the Winning Poker Network (WPN).

The issue of bot proliferation has been recognized for at least 3.5 years, as discussed in this Botfarm forum thread.
Despite submitting comprehensive reports to the WPN, which unfortunately went unanswered from their security team, I harbor no illusions that they will address the problem. The security service has let down the player community. Therefore, I am reaching out to poker schools, funds, and independent players.
I urge you to examine the hands played by these bots in cash games and MTTs this year, analyze their strategies in training sessions, and actively combat them at the tables. In many games, they constitute a significant portion of the player field, ranging from 5% to 15%.

Currently, Botfarm evolve approximately every 3 months but still employ exploitative tactics, allowing to push back. Given their ability to create over 100+ new accounts per month, eradicating them requires multiple waves of blocking, not just a single sweep. This issue is not exclusive to WPN; evidence suggests that Ignition and GG Poker are already affected. While I lack data from all platforms, it is certain that they will infiltrate wherever there is a lucrative game.
In the end I would like to say that poker is a game of people with each other, not the machines. Interference by machines disrupts the essence of poker. If any room management believes that regular players can be replaced by machines - you are mistaken. In such a scenario, the game would inevitably dwindle or even cease to exist, reaching an untenable scale.

Bot Report for Cash Games on WPN: May 1 - June 16
I understand your frustration in this ongoing battle, but don't lose hope! Sooner or later, we will overcome these challenges.
I've conducted a thorough analysis of cash games on WPN for the period from May 1 to June 16. Currently, only 27 bots from the botfarm are active. This is a significant reduction from the hundreds that used to plague the platform, thanks to our relentless reporting.
Current Active Bots:
As always, I have included the hands played by these bots so you can study them, identify their patterns, and counteract them at the tables.

Performance Graph:
While they are still winning, their numbers are dwindling. This graph shows that fewer bots are playing, though they continue to achieve notable success.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the WPN security service for their diligent attention to our reports.

Amazing work as always TylerRM. You and your team are truly on the frontlines of this battle and everybody who participates in online poker owes you some gratitude.
I do have a question. If WPN is acting upon these reports so dilligenty then why are some accounts that have been suspected for a long time now (ie. Shishune, Crapulence etc.) continuing to play? Does that mean that there is some outlying factor with these particular accounts, their ownership or the bot profiles that results in WPN having issues with detection or investigation?
It seems strange that after months of banning hundreds of illegitimate accounts that these profiles have continued to evade security measures despite being repeatedly publicly listed as examples of bots.

The truth is that detection methods could be different and could give out different results. Botfarm priority is to avoid room detection methods as much as possible and they are successfull enough to avoid everything from tech/kyc side. My point is to raise strategy-detecion methods to the higher level and bring more transapency to the games to reveal any potentional cheating and prevent it. I think the only way to prevent mass-cheating in near future is the open-source history of the games. All that remains is to convince the rooms of this.
I wonder why Shishune only dropped stakes and Crapulence and Consla started playing 100 for a bit after only playing 25B and 50.
Shishune has had no auto-top up at 50 for the last 2 days maybe they withdrew or something.
These two bots were going to WAR on a short handed table for about an hour.
Pretty much any hand BvB involved a flop or turn raise.

Hey you're back.
Yeah I'm not sure why one group seems to play exclusively 50 and 25b and then the other group is 100 and some 200.
For a couple of weeks they all moved to 100 and then now seemed to have moved back down.
Forik444 seems really botty to me.

Maybe this is answered elsewhere, I skimmed recent posts, but how do you know that all these accounts, assuming they are indeed bots, are part of a "farm"? BigRoosterjrod is a US account. Is a US bot operator operating in the same "farm" with the Euro accounts? I know of the existence of VPNs, but would one bother to use one just to, I guess, fool people into thinking there are more US players than there are? BigRoosterjRod is a US-sounding name, if you ask me.

you can register account on any adress in the worlds and don´t need VPN to play from other countries , and if you didn´t know, also nickname you can freely choose
I also initially thought that but when I reviewed HHs hes done three things in my (small) sample that make me think otherwise:
(1) 4b and calling more 4b than the other bots (small sample obv.)
(2) Much lower VPIP than other bots (small sample obv)
(3) Custom weird smaller sizings that look like he's using the bet slider. Especially OTT OOP his turn sizings are extremely inconsistent, ranging between like 29% and 47% even on similar boards. Have one hand in a BB v BTN x/r line where he gets a bad turn and needs to x or go big but he chooses this weird 42% sizing basically betting his exact hand which I haven't seen the bots in the pool ever do.
Could obviously be wrong, only have like 12k hands in the pool and 1.7k hands on Forik444 since I started playing again.
Any updates on MTT bots or they didn't return yet?
Wanjoel bugged out today. Was playing me HU today, 3betting and 4betting literally any 2 inf deep, until he lost like 3 stacks. He was also losing redline till today which is uncharacteristic for a bot. He also doesnt' do any of the preflop bullshit other bots do. Might just be a regfish that tilts tbh.
forik333 is 100% not a bot lol, hes a losing player, blueliner, and been playing for ages, idk how u ppl even come up with this ****.
tightwad12 is a new bot I noticed today, there was one other but forgot the nick.
surtur, beeweller, purelady, Sapieca, Chroment2, terate19, LAMkoo, and Dibo0 are 100% without a single doubt bots. I was extremely obvious to an insane degree with exploiting their bullshit and not a single one was adjusting, until they were all pulled out mid session at the same time after a couple of days and fixed. Still, they do a lot of super exploity bullshit, if any winning regs want to talk about it and do some theorycrafting, Id be down.
Also lmao at ACR for allowing this, its beyond blatant, their timings, sizings, every single stat, exploit tech etc are all exactly the same, the fact they are not banned means ACR wants them playing or has literally no measures to detect it.
Why are people from the UK so crotchety sounding?
latest ones here:
New bot "mesttone" playing 100nl and 200nl.
What do we think of CBuhka?
Ah so another Parcker.
s*dubyze? Has armenia as location which seems sketchy on its own. Plays a lot of weird stack-sizes and it doesnt seem obvious at all which stack size he prefers, he buys in short but plays very well deep as well actually better than most regs lol. He doesn't really play as a typical shortstacker pre or postflop. Kinda seems odd that a strong player who is presumably shortstacker also is comfortable enough to reg war nl400 vs anyone hu/shorthanded regardless of depth but never plays above.

He's a bot, I can confirm with 100% certainty. Same model, same everything, just can shortstack now.
Posts like this are so hilarious. The only reason that there is for anyone to think online is dead is because they can't beat the games. And yes I mean the games in 2024 that are quite easy to beat with minimal work even at decent stakes.
So what is the point of your post? To point out that you're not good enough to beat online games? Because that's your own fault. Online is thriving.

Although I 100% agree with your sentiment towards idiot posters that constantly say that stupid **** cause they're bad I would hardly say that anything above 500nl+ is thriving, games are as tough as they have ever been with the addition of more cheaters than ever...not to mention these bots are getting better and better.
Seems like there's a new bot at 200, "Otalgia"

I have reported Tightwad12 just since he appeared (I have played like 30 min HU and it was obvious that it's a bot), but no reaction from support / ACR security team
