Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
kill a few hundred or thousand while fighting for freedom and you are a terrorist. kill millions and you are righteous and good.
There is an actual definition of terrorism, and it has nothing to do with how many people are killed, or even if any people are killed.
Here a definition from a UN document, along with the statement that it is never justifiable:
[A]cts intended or calculated to provoke a state of terror in the general public, a group of persons or particular persons for political purposes are in any circumstance unjustifiable, whatever the considerations of a political, philosophical, ideological, racial, ethnic, religious or any other nature that may be invoked to justify them.

So your idea that the terrorist actions of Palestinians are fine according to international law (because they are occupied) seems very suspect.
And if Israel, with the help of allies, manages to eradicate Hamas (and proxies), that would save Palestinians, who are currently the victims of extreme violences and abuses by Hamas and proxies.
Israel has dropped like 70k bombs on Gaza. how many has Hamas dropped?
btw, they have dropped so much ordnance that Resistance now has essentially a sustainable weapons industry for the foreseeable future just by repurposing the duds.
their ingenuity and steadfastness is truly remarkable.
The main criticism that can be leveled against Israel in this situation is that they made the unwise decision to release Sinwar in 2011. Engaging in negotiations with terrorist organizations is ill-advised, and the release of known terrorist leaders is a particularly egregious error.
No one's saying it's funny.
Unfounded accusations appear to be the mainstay of this thread, judging by how many times I've been called a supporter of terrorism.
Your comrade said again and again that most of the others in this thread supported the killing of babies, despite being corrected every time.
Israel saved Sinwar's life in 2004

Pro Palestinian protesters blocking the entrance of a synagogue. Is that antisemitic? Can israelis have a protest and block a mosque? (They wouldn't imo)
A civilized people wouldn't do such things.
is the thing you're linking the blocking of the land theft real estate event?
that's like the perfect event for propaganda. have an event at a synagogue where you host an organization that sells stolen land in the west bank to third parties to make it even harder for palestinians to reclaim it, protestors show up because it's horrific, cry that they are protesting a synagogue, POTUS makes a post about antisemitism.
The protest stemmed from an Israel real estate event on Sunday at the Adas Torah synagogue, according to the synagogue’s security director and social media posts from organizers.
The event at the synagogue was promoted by a firm called My Home in Israel Real Estate, a group that has helped to facilitate marketing events for potential property sales in Israel and the West Bank to Jewish Americans. CNN has reached out to the group for comment.
In response, pro-Palestinian groups announced plans to protest the event in a Friday Instagram post from the Palestinian Youth Movement and an LA-based chapter of the group.
“Our land is not for sale,” the post stated. “Stand against settler expansion at Sunday’s real estate event selling homes to build ‘Anglo neighborhoods’ in Palestine.” The post then listed the synagogue’s Los Angeles address.
“Racist settler expansionists are not welcome in Los Angeles!” the account wrote in the caption. “This blatant example of land theft is operating in our own backyard. The Nakba is ongoing and must be confronted!”

Is that not a legitimate thing to protest against?
Maybe best not to hold it in a synagogue.
As usual, the cowardice protestor wore a mask as they beat the Jew
i think the allegations of hamas support were and are aimed at victor rather than you (vic has made posts itt explicitly stating that he supports hamas and is proud of it)
you are known as the rape denier on account of your rape denial posts
BOIDS and jalfrezi will return to us in 24 hours. Friends, we are not doing the above anymore. It is not allowed.
Yes let's try to make things so that it doesn't became necessary and morally imperative to do that.
If it does btw, every one of those people dying is on you guys.
If you didn't at every step endorse any action necessary to eradicate Hamas, you are personally responsible for every civilian who dies while we try to eradicate Hamas.
Personally, individually responsible.
As if you cut the child throat or push the trigger yourself
Luciom will return to us in 3 days for posting genocidal rhetoric and the above personal attack, which is FAR past what is acceptable to say to one another in this thread. More of this will lead to bans from posting in this thread altogether.
Thanks.
The real estate thing makes it reasonable to protest but not reasonable to block the entrance of a synagogue
And again if you want to protest, be proud and protest. Protesting with a mask means you know you are doing something wrong

Sure, to protest is fine. To block the entrance is not fine. To beat people is terrible.
Violence is totally unacceptable. The target of the protest seems legitimate.
I'm against blocking as well but if we dont want places of worship treated like other venues then don't hold such politcally sensitive real estate events in them.

Yeah, what is that about? I don't remember protestors ever wearing masks until very recently, and I lived in the DC area for 20 years, where there are more protests than anywhere in the US.
It doesn't seem like they are very proud of what they're doing.

this is nonsense in the modern world and you know this. wearing a mask to a protest is so random people on the internet don't ruin your life on a whim. the right has a huge fetish with doxxing people for rage bait clicks.
also most of the cops at these events doing the "protecting" are wearing masks, are we saying they know they are doing something wrong as well?

I don't care about it being a place of worship, I think it's wrong to block access to anywhere.
I'm guessing the people who did that don't think it's right when pro-life people block access to abortion clinics.

someone drove a truck with random college kids faces names and home addresses on it like a couple months ago. lol
