yeah I don't doubt this. resort fees ensure the hotel gets something for the rooms especially from people that don't gamble much. I honestly don't mind paying resort fee when the total price is still well below market value.

getting rid of RF would make most Vegas resorts affordable only for people who gamble a lot on their tightest machines and crappy odd pit games

It is my understanding that unless you are in a lucrative niche (helicopter chartering, high level finances), a YouTube creator will get about a $1 for every thousand views.

Of course, this is just a very rough estimate. Let us give RICE the benefit of the doubt, could he get $2/K views? If so, that is only about $6/day or so. RICE is frugal, VERY FRUGAL, but I don't think he can get by on $6 a day or even $10/day.

So there is NO WAY that the YouTube can be providing more than about a meal or a few gallons of gas per day.

i think he views it as passive income and does it much more for the 100 views each video will get in year 2 than the 3k views it gets in month 1 = hence only an idiot wouldn't vlog because it's free passive income

honestly, i'm still shocked by how much traction his channel has - i've only watched the greatest hits which are discussed the most here, but going by how the internet usually works (used to work in tech) where for every daily poster you have 50 weekly posters and 500 passive observers

Yeah you're right. I think the original comment was a bit tongue in cheek. Realistically rice will get about 5 cans of sardines and a bunch of moldy old bananas a month for his YouTube revenue

The fees are a complete scam but I'd be shocked if the government did anything about them.

Although the dealing job is definitely the best thing for Rice, I gotta say that his vlogs aren’t as entertaining from when he was grinding for $5/hr and moving from casino to casino.

I have no doubt that RICE thinks he is in it for the long haul...BUT there is NO WAY that people 10 years from now are going to be watching RICE videos that are 5 years old today.

I think there is also a MINIMUM view that videos have to achieve to be monetized. Thus, if a video only has 20-30 views a month, even over the course of a year, it simply not large enough to get a payout.

Also, who knows where the poker market is going to be in 3-5-7 years? I am sure it will still be played...but at what level & where.

I can remember seeing live poker for the FIRST time in Tunica MS. This would have been the late 90's. At that point in time, I don't think any casinos outside of Vegas and a couple in Atlantic city & Tunica had live poker going.

Could the market shrink considerably in the upcoming years? It certainly might. Here in the Michigan, Greektown (original live poker room) just shut down. There also used to be live poker in Sarnia Ontario (across the river from Port Huron), that shut down their poker. I would not be surprised if Motorcity shuts down their poker room in the upcoming year.

I'm pretty certain that it's $10 per 1k views. That's always the number Ive seen given, but it can be up to $20 per 1k views depending on certain demographics of a channels viewership.

So a monetized YouTube video with a million views has earned the creator at least $10k. My best guess is that Rice's latest videos are earning him roughly $30 each on average. He did give a breakdown of how much he gets from YouTube but it was well before his uptick in views and subscribers (and it was still above $6 per video/day)
