Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
I'm too lazy to look, but is late stage Klay even an upgrade over Tim Hardaway Jr?
I'm stuck in a relationship where I'm forced to watch every preseason/season warriors game and I honestly don't know. My brain wants to put both guys in the same category: if these guys are playing significant minutes for your team you are not a serious contender.
Mavs gonna regret the Klay contract.
This year.
Luka then asks for a trade in the offseason.
Going down this hypothetical a little more...
Who could even trade for Luka? When was the last time an undisputed top 2 player in the league was traded?
Okc has the assets but will Dallas really trade them to their immediate rival.
On one side how the **** can you trade Luka.
On the other side, how the **** would you get anywhere close to value.. especially if he's going to test free agency after a trade anyway.
I think when he's a free agent that he's going to team up with either Jokic in Denver or Wemby in San Antonio. He doesn't seem like the type to give a **** about wearing purple and gold.
Yeah that's true.
He's got two years basically so if he asks out next year then he's got 1 year left and that's a huge risk to trade for.
Could become one of these behind the scenes tampering moments where there's a deal in place between Luka and his next team. "Just play it out and we'll sign you without giving up assets."

Exactly. Luka is smart, he plays CHESS, he isn't some boorish American who grew up playing glorified 1-on-1 hoops in AAU.
One other thing about Podcast P, he probably knows the Clipps thing is close to over. Maybe he wanted a trade kicker with them or a no trade clause and that was the dealbreaker rather than the 4th year. I'm sure it will come out eventually.
In a few years maybe Mavs books will be pretty clean to where they can get someone to go there with Luka. Who knows, but Lively is on a cheap deal for another 3 years, Kyrie you can probably re-sign on a decent value deal. Klay you can move easy in a few years, 17m is nothing. They were just in the finals 2 weeks ago, this isn't exactly AD/CP3 on the Pelicans.
These elite guys the max is gonna get so high, maybe some of them won't have an issue taking a little less for the team to maintain flexibility. We're talking like 68m instead of 77m in 3-4 years.
i want to see a chilltown power rankings of the teams right now - with annotated notes on which players, coaches, & gms have seen his junk

Probably only Lebron.
He saw my legendary post when I correctly drafted him second in an all time season draft.
Man I really sucked 2+2 gming. My teams were all terrible.
In that draft took like Lebron Glen Rice Memet Okur Jason Terry Rasheed Wallace Mo Williams Andrea Bargnani Paul Millsap forget who else.
They'd lose to every other team fallguy would definitely argue that maybe accurately.
don't sleep on prime glen rice, he was really good in nba jam
Glen Rice ****ed Sarah Palin, look it up
Wilt Chamberlin in 1965.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1975.
Moses Malone in 1982?
Honorable Mentions
Bill Russell in 1956 (draft).
Bob McAdoo in 1976.
Julius Irving in 1976.
Charles Barkley in 1992.
Kevin Garnett in 2007.
Solid list.
Kareem was the one I first thought of.
Honorable mention Kawhi! He might be the most recent and it was..
In exchange for Leonard, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and 2014 Finals MVP, and Green, who remains third in franchise history in made 3-pointers (959), the Spurs acquired All-Star guard DeMar DeRozan, budding young center Jakob Poeltl, and a 2019 first-round draft pick that ended up turning into Keldon Johnson.
So that's a close comparison.
Another thought..is there a team who would gamble to do a Luka 1 year rental trade.
Shaq 2004 is definitely up there...He was still top 2-3 guy with KG/Duncan at time of his deal. D Wade/LeBron/Nash began to ascend the next season.
Kawhi 2019
CP 2011
Dwight 2012 probably more top 5ish, maybe AD in here too
Kevin Love 2014 #1 if you ask TZ
Moses Malone the only guy to win MVP then switch teams the next season I believe, signed a restricted offer sheet with Philly after his 81-82 MVP season with Houston. Err....Wilt '68/LeBron 2010 as well.
the super role player type that mikal bridges is, has a ton of value in the new CBA.
When he appeared on the Roommates Podcast with Brunson/Hart, Hart was recruiting him so HARD it was funny lol.
Pacers sign Wiseman for cheap.
From the 2020 draft:
2: Wiseman
8: Obi
10: Stix (just signed with CHI after 2 years in Indy)
12: Haliburton
13: Kira Lewis Jr (for 1 day to facilitate the Pascal trade)
14: Nesmith
45: Jordan Nwora (2 years, traded for Pascal)
Pacers didn't even have a pick in this draft until 54 lol
How is Glen Rice not in the basketball hall of fame. Led Michigan to their only ncaa championship (1989). Still holds the record for most points in a single tournament 35 years later. Nobody could stop nor contain him. The most dominant tournament run ever.
Then he plays a 1,000 games in the NBA, averages 18.3 points/gm on eFG% of 50.8%. 3pt contest champion plus all star mvp. Was a key contributor on Lakers 99-00 championship run (15.9 pts/gm). Dude was a pure winner even in video game form. This is a ****ing scandal. Not as bad as Mark Aguirre not being in the HOF but damn close.

Let's start a petition and circulate it around the 'net.

You actually make a fairly compelling argument here. For comparison, James Worthy is in the HOF with fewer games played, fewer PPG, and fewer career win shares.
