Do any Vegas hotels still have a Rewards desk?

Do any Vegas hotels still have a Rewards desk?

Paris and Caesars both definitely have standalone Caesars Rewards desks.
I was out there and played a few of the first WSOP tourneys, and had used my Diamond Elite airfair credit, and the Rewards desk at Paris credited me back in free play my flight cost. I also went and talked to a host as Paris and asked about the 4 daily drink vouchers and how that gets applied and she basically said there's not an exact science to it that she could speak to, but she was able to look and see I had them on my account.

They may have a harder time looking up your rating at a RW desk which isn’t at the property you play at.

I remember where the Paris one is/was, but I thought the last few times I walked past it, there was nobody there.

Thanks for the info.

I went to MGM Grand and tried to match my Diamond status to Pearl there and they said they no longer do that for regular Diamond. You need to be Diamond+ or higher now for Pearl.

I hated playing at MGM Grand anyway so all the more reason I won’t be going back there.

Oh crap, I forgot to try that. Not that I can think of a reason to go to an MGM place off the top of my head.

What does Pearl get? Free parking? No resort fees?

Any idea what I would get matched for being 7 star?

Pearl gets free self park. Gold is needed to waive resort fees and valet park for free.

I thought the current status match offer from MGM was only good for three months?

Just got a phone call saying my 4 drink vouchers a day have been revoked.

I'll bet there wasn't a dry accountant in the recent meeting.

It’s a crappy business practice to give a customer something and then yank it away because the marketing department wasn’t smart enough to understand the ramifications of what they were offering. But CET has bigger problems with regard to their loyalty program than pissing off some number of largely low-profit customers. They have been increasingly pissing off their much more profitable customers. That’s a death sentence if they keep it up. IMO they need to scrap the whole CR system as it is and create a new loyalty program which is based in reality instead of what a clueless marketing team thinks should be the reality. Customers can and should be rewarded for their loyalty and for the profit they generate. Right now they seem to be intent on sending folks elsewhere.

Welcome to the club

I talked to a host about this and they just told me I need to play more lol

My free drinks do work in Florida though for some reason

Unfortunately for us, "elsewhere" doesn't seem to be any better. Doesn't the MGM system require even more gambling to get the same perqs?

There are plenty of options in Vegas. As for other locales, I don’t know.

Yea I fully admit I'm a **** customer and honestly expected my drinks to be gone when I went to Vegas in late May after hearing so many people had them nuked. i was surprised they still worked then.

But dangling tier levels with incentives for hitting those levels and then not paying out when those levels are hit is pretty grimy and seems like bad business to me in the long run.

There are definitely good customers out there who chase these levels to hit certain benefits but they're going to leery of doing so when they know those benefits don't have to be honored.

Tier Multipliers aren't how I earned my credits but it's also funny how they do so many 5 and even 10x multipliers and then are pissed when people exploit them.

+1. Pretty much this.

The tier multiplier promotions are a farce. They were designed to drum up business during slow times and instead it looks like they are screwing up their entire loyalty program to the point that they have to resort to the types of horrible business practices you mentioned.

If they want people to come during slow times, they should offer them incentives, like room discounts, gaming and food vouchers, etc for those slow periods. And if they want their good and frequent customers to continue to be their good and frequent customers, they need a loyalty program that actually rewards people for their loyalty. But instead, it seems they are perfectly happy watering down and eliminating benefits every time they create artificial demand.

As for the tier multipliers themselves, I continue to believe they play games with how points are awarded, for those things where the formula is opaque. Before tier multipliers were a thing, or at least as common a thing as they are now, I was able to achieve Diamond+ status through a certain level and volume of table gaming. I am still able to reach that status now, but I don’t feel like it is significantly easier despite the fact that I earn these multipliers from time to time. So very little has changed in my experience trying to earn status. But plenty has changed in my experience as far as the benefits of that status. And these haven’t been good changes.

Just on the strip there’s MLife, Caesars rewards, Grazie, Red Card and Genting. Plus some number of independents (like Circus, Station or Southpoint) though I certainly wouldn’t know all of them. Then downtown has a number of their own like 24k select club.

Point being (pardon the pun), there is plenty of competition in Vegas for gamblers.

Okay, yes there are other casinos. Are any of their loyalty clubs better than CET?

That I can’t say. What I can say is CET has gotten demonstrably worse every year since Covid. And that pattern doesn’t seem to be reversing.

If people don’t care and keep giving them their business, then they have no reason to change. But as we see with their business results, ElDorado is not doing things right and it is showing. You can see the same thing with regard to their employee sentiment. Workers have left in droves.

If they want to turn things around, maybe they should start by not treating their customers like crap.

Identity. Too bad they are going away at the end of the month. MGM sucks, IMO.

Define better.
Not everyone has the same criteria for what they want from a players club.

As a degenerate gambler that also plays poker, when caesars bought wsop I pretty much went all in w/ CR. I regularly play slots and just about every table game which gets me diamond or higher each year, which in turn gets me zero-cost visits (comped rooms, no resort fees, free parking, free food, etc.). Those are my priorities and I feel like I get value from it, even though it limits the properties I play at.

It's been years since I did any non-poker gaming at an MGM property. My wife prefers Cosmo, though, so I expect that to change this year...RIP Identity.

Depends on the actual level you achieve but most important is which benefits fit you best.

For us MGM seems to treat wife better (she is the degen) as a Platinum than Caesar's does where she is 7*. But the 7* (+ Diamond since you get those) travel $ and celebration dinners ($600 total) and travel to 7* event(s) are probably more valuable for us.

Honestly we often have rooms at both in Vegas at the same time or at least some overlap. Last month on one day we actually had 2 CET rooms (me and wife had own), 1 MGM and 1 GN downtown.

Wife likes how MGM treats her over CET or GN, but some of that is due to teh fact her theo is better at MGM because we do not have one local (frequent non-gamble events dilute the theo even though the annual total is more which is why she is 7* CET but only Platinum MGM).
