General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread

OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.

Just an observation.

Aren't almost all of them sort of the original one from her POV? (Besides Jason 2) If they all split off at the point he was abducted, they all just had different journeys and then got back to their "real" family. The one that made it just got back to them first, essentially.

ya it's pretty hilarious/ridiculous that she supposedly has this deep connection with the first jason that tells her the story when really there isn't any reason why he should have any more "right" to be the original jason than any of the others especially from her perspective.

and fwiw the book doesn't do any better job of coming up with a reason/explanation for that question either so not like they left anything out in the show that dealt with that

Rewatching Vice Principals (HBO) with the girlfriend. Such a fun show and Walton Goggins is, like always, just so good here.

End of season 3 rewatch Lost: happy to confirm its still the GOAT tv series.

2nd half of Lost s3 was probably the most fun I ever had watching TV. Week to week, everyone watching, theories abound, and the season ending twist completely blindsided me (seems obvious in hindsight, but it was a simpler time!)

I still get chills thinking about S3 ending. Greatest cliffhanger in the history of television.

Remind me again, what was the season 3 cliff hanger?

The "we have to go back?"

Oh yeah, the flash forward surprise...

so much for that

If you haven't seen season 3 18 years later then you probably aren't going to watch season 3 or have no clue what they are talking about

Of course I know him, hes me.

Half-joking anyway, no biggie

Almost wish I'd never seen Lost just so I could experience it new again

remember the show FlashForward? that was so bad.

In that era of terrible network SciFi. Along with Terra Nova and The Event.

That was the heyday of advertising hype and excitement for total duster shows.

I'm still kind of pissed off that Heros got renewed so many times.

That means there are more old people spoilers for those who saw it and have forgotten.

I just watched the Twilight Zone marathon on Sci-Fi and 'discovered' @five episodes for the 'first time.' Odds are strongly in favor that I Bidened the series.

Gotta be the two best moments of the show, and some of the best of all-time in TV.

Emmy noms for this year:

I really hope The Bear gets nothing. There’s no way that happens, but it’s a goddamn drama. It would do well in drama. But “Fishes” being nominated for Best Writing for Comedy is ridiculous. Aside from that, I don’t really care who wins for what lol

Was truly a down year after a series of legendary ones

The mom is hilarious.

Someone needs to do this but for the bear

If we had an all time tv moments draft, I'd consider "we have to go back" with the number 1 pick.

Red Wedding
Pussy in Sopranos (although maybe last scene deserves it more)
Omar court scene

“Run” is my personal favorite but Deadwood has a handful on my list. The West Wing has a few as well.

Hard Knocks offseason with the Giants is fantastic.

The Receiver show is decent. No where near the human interest story that Quarterback created but the clips and commentary work well together.
