I don't know enough about Limewire to know what any of these has to do with it. I honestly can't say anything about Limewire beyond I know it was a pirate service from the golden age of online piracy.
So as for me, it's not a question of whether we try to fit these words into that clue or not, because I'm incapable of doing so.
If this is really supposed to be magazine/ice cream/pepper, then why wouldn't the clue just be cookbook or something similar?

The clues make sense to me(perhaps in retrospect) but we got there on a lot. I'm not a big fan of 0ing if there's no assassin, I usually just clue again(maybe an ambitious number) and hope the game develops in a favorable way - but in this case we got 3 off it immediately
