Also that beef rib was gigantic, must have been well over a pound. Expensive at $85 but a good dish to share, comes pre-sliced. The sauces with it were very good too.

I think I eat both meals mostly with chopsticks, so I see your point. I think your meal is more my style, but Gwen would demand the gyoza and the crab fried rice is right up my alley.

Also, thank you both. Apparently we're going back again in a few months and this might be on the list.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure all or almost all of the alcohol in ice cream is cooked out. You were likely getting the flavor of the bourbon but almost no actual alcohol.

Went to Kyu and agree with the praise. This was one of the weirdest drinks I've had but really good.

Had a nice dish with raw tuna and pears, and the saddle lamb for an entre. This was good but tasted even better as left overs.

Lovely peach mille feuille for dessert.

I also went to Don's prime and would like to advocate for it again.

Chopped salad: this is a lighter, veggie heavy salad. So if you want a wedge or something get that. This is made with a lot of chickpeas and is really good.

Potatoes Gratin. For me, these were perfectly prepared. I usually ad salt to Potatoes and most things. This time I did not. So maybe salty for some. For me, these were exactly how I want the dish to be. Super rich, lots of cream and cheese.

Wagyu: I am not an aficionado. I've had it maybe 10-12 times, I think at 3 different places other than here. While I've enjoyed it, I sort of liken it to a crazy sports car vs a great daily driver.

I mentioned to my waiter that this was my favorite wagyu and he told me it is a special olive fed type. I found it to be extremely flavorful and rich, but I felt it was more restrained and enjoyable than other examples.

Sometimes wagyu feels a little like eating a deep fried twinkie. This felt more like a real steak, though extremely rich and decadent. I guess, running with the analogy of cars I've never been in, it seemed more like a Rolls Royce vs a Lambo.

Didn't get a good Pic, but it wasn't all that visually striking.

It came with a port reduction and some spinach. The meat was too good for sauce, though I used it for 1 bite. I'd suggest just using the sauce for the spinach.

Temped to do a Spinal Tap but 10/10

Cheesecake: very good Cheesecake with a softer texture and plenty of berries. 8/10.

I feel like my cardiologist should get a kickback.

I'm sorry that FB is struggling. I think it's a beautiful place. I liked the rooms. I've been to several restaurants and the food ranges from good to great. They are generous with comps.

This is an interesting take, but thanks for sharing.

About $325, though I paid for much of it with comps. The steak was $200 and I had 2 adult beverages. The normal food is pretty reasonable for a Strip steakhouse.

Last time I had the salmon, which is way cheaper and excellent. It would go well with the potatoes for a more balanced meal. Going off memory, but I think you could have the salad, salmon, potatoes and a softdrink and it would be about $100.

Just a friendly reminder that Morimoto sucks. Had MGM specific comps, so bit the bullet again last night because everything at mgm is bad. Some of the stuff looks pretty, but lol at people paying real moneys there.

I liked it and it's far more reasonably priced than Nobu.

There are some dishes I liked a lot and some that are just fine by the standards of a place like that. I really enjoyed the old fashioned.

Almost none of these places actually "suck."

Of course, if it is possible yo go there. Go there.

Morimoto omakase is more expensive than Nobu... or at least it was.

Looking for a fancy meal, the catch being that my co-diner is a vegetarian and we have to go on a Monday. Any recs?

my SO is pescatarian and we eat out a lot mostly vegetarian (get 600 or so in meal credits every month at strip casinos) . these are some of our fav dishes .

LPM at Cosmo , potato au gratin , and gnocchi

bavettes at parkmgm mashed potatoes elite , brussel sprouts (salmon is awesome).

Crossroads at resorts world (all menu is vegan/vegetarian )

these are on the fringe of fine dining but all nice experience .

Find someone else to eat fun food with?

I guess Milos would give you a bunch of vegetarian options and you could pick from some lighter proteins.

This was going to be my recommendation. I haven't been there, but I've read good things.

Yeah, I've been to crossroads a couple times. It's very good. Maybe not as satisfying, but you leave feeling better.

It has an upscale atmosphere and good service.
