punt formation
I think she just felt like this is a spot where shes going to get bullied on the turn a lot, so she thought with her nut blocker, shes going to take it down a lot. Feels super strong, and underbluffed but just ran into top of range. Not saying its the right play, but i get it. A bit impatient though given ICM.
Wtf was that??? She did not deserve a final table, pressure was too much and she just had to punt it off.
Serock was UTG that hand LOL...
That was one of the biggest punts we have seen this deep. I was a fan but im not a fan of punting so bye.
Check the solvers that play cant be close.
Serock had no reason to fear a monster, because she would have slowplayed it 100% of the time.
CL with 14 left, out in 13th. Woof

I think she knows what she's doing.

there's also two flush draws on the board which she might've thought added to his bluffing range but it also adds to her bluffing range and we know she bluffs so I would probably call that wider than others too.
edit--there were 5 shorter stacks than that turn shove, had to be a better spot but what a critical misread.
Holy **** I can't believe Foxen did that! There is no way Serock has less than pair of aces on that board and given the bet sizing.
Can you explain what you mean by this? Didn't Xiao blow off her stack with very weak hands?
Shundan, I watched her play as closely as possible on tv. Im not saying I can see expert vision on Shundans play but saw hands that intrigued me a lot.
What I mean is simple: as played she took many fearless lines that were untethered to typical tournament considerations. Her play was disjointed from ICM, and many of her calls to an average experienced tournament player basically read bad, like incomprehensible gibberish. Nevertheless, on most hands she gets it in good. On the pivotal hamd against astedt she was a favorite until the river. Iirc, both hands she fets it in bad she has pocket tens and only one of those is purely misguided. The one gand that is misguided is simply because if you study via programming and range vs range, you will likely find calls that are fiction; a great player in the future is vulnerable to pocket tens because as a ramge vs range player , they have many more explotative unatural bluffs in that spot. n that specific hand as any real player could tell you she was behind 100% in that spot because no one is playing gto there; they are using icm calculations that are mostly correct to justify overfoldibg so she overestimated her opponents- in an ideal world those are good plays because world class players would gave unatiral bluffs there. Unfortunately for her the final 27 isnt like a sim at google. Nevertheless, hypothetically rhose are good lines.
Unfortunately that is probably going to end up being “the hand” we were talking about earlier
damn
She does block AK/AQ and has gotten hero folds all tournament and he could have some draw he'd fold too but man I don't think that was the spot at all but she did at least one I wouldn't have that worked out and #YOLO.
I think nerve got to her. From her perspective she was at 79 Milly just a few level ago and saw her stack cut in half. I think in her mind she want a stack of at least 60 Milly to face off against the other top 3 player in the field.
I think she feel a lot of pressure to get to the final table and lost track of ICM, if she fold here and come back from diner break she would still have 30+ BB.
EDIT: she

It's worse to do it with the nut blocker Ks in your hand, because you want your opponent to have it. At least thats how I think it works, but I am not a top player. gg krissyb you will be back.

Foxen's don't need ICM, they're gonna be just fine regardless.
im going to go cry. Whatever happens in nvg is ok with me.
Pretty sure having the 3 short stacks on the other table affected her decision making here
Lol it was ICM suicide but lets say **** ICM and look at chipEV. That is still a huge punt versus UTG range.
She just blew off. Yea would have been sick the 5% of times that would have worked.
Betting o/u .5 whether a woman makes a main event final table in the next decade would be one hell of a sweat. Heck, every year someone comes real close.
