Honestly, its hard to guess what they will do with that information. Seems to me that it would have been pretty ez just to scratch him when he went home instead of erasing him entirely which it seems like that is what they did.

So nobody just leaves the race...

He’s got this…he’s a Turtle, which means he’s lean, mean and green

1-time!

Is this too soon for an Has anyone seen Alec Baldwin joke?

If I ever reach 20 winning sessions in a row, everyone is wearing Dave-O's fanny pack pic as their avatar for a month.

I never said it because I didn't want to jinx it, but I did reach 27 wins in a row last year.

That didn't matter, because it was followed by a gut wrenching downswing right after.

Currently at the emergency vet with Donatello. He is not doing well. Can I please, please get a one time?

All the best.

Donatello passed at 230am this morning. He crashed and fought back 4 times before passing. He gave us nearly 13 amazing years and brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. I'll miss him more than I know how to deal with.

I love and miss you, buddy. You are the bestest mensch!!

poor baby. 13 years is a good innings. really sorry mate

I’m so sorry Turtle. Wishing you and your wife the best. Losing your pup sucks. Try to remember all of the great times you had together.

So sorry to hear the news, turtle. The next few days will be really tough. Hang in there. Pretty soon the joyful memories take over.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. May your grief soften soon to the point where his memory brings you more joy than sadness.

Wrote the above before I saw King's post. I hope that is true for you. I've had it take much longer than "pretty soon," but know that the joyful memories will stop hurting too much to examine eventually. I hope it is soon.

sorry to hear that don, i know it won't help, but there's a pet picture thread where pics of him will also be highly received

Donat3llo, sincere condolences for your loss.

Very sorry for your loss, Don

Bye doggy donny. We will listen to any of your stories.

Donatello, very sorry to hear about your friend - as some have said it will be hard for awhile but eventually you'll be able to recall all the good times with him.

sorry for your loss don

Happy bday to the thread wanker, FW. Hope you enjoy your day, mate!

Thanks for the support, everyone. I really appreciate it. This one will hurt for a long time to come, I think. He is our baby boy. He is family. While he was getting up in years, the worst part is it's not even comforting to say, "Well, at least he's not suffering anymore." Because he wasn't suffering. He was fine Wednesday, and then... just wasn't. Remembering the good times is comforting, but still raw. I am grateful we brought Phoebe into our lives because she has been a saving grace for us throughout all this.

Condolences Turtle. :(

rooting for you to have a nice birthday

Saw this in Chapel Hill the other day

Seems like a road trip is in order for someone. Or maybe a defamation lawsuit, IDK.

thank you boys, albeit I live in the future so my birthday was yesterday

not an all timer as my soontobeexwife isn't talking to me (which is fine but makes life challenging at home) and one of my girls is in Europe and it was on a Monday.

but I had a week in Fiji last week so am nicely relaxed anyway

Happy belated birthday mang. Surfing fiji has been a long time dream of mine. Did you surf much when you were there? Dive?

neither. I was there with my son's rugby tour. We were based to the south of the main island but 3 days in the week we were travelling to different areas for games.

there was a reef about a mile offshore close to where we were but the surf wasn't great when we were there, so even the guys who took their boards didn't get out.

I did get out snorkelling a few times and even though visibility wasn't brilliant, that was fun. And I can imagine the diving is ossum

I'd like to go back again on a different kind of vacation because we were in a family resort that was nice, but kind of felt like a landlocked cruise ship. Fiji is an interesting place - dirt poor when you get out of the tourist areas. We spent 6 hours in a very remote village at a school and then at a kava ceremony and traditional dinner and oh man...corrugated iron homes with no doors and no flooring, kids going to school barefoot etc.
