To me this seems pretty crazy and I think Daniel has studied much more.
I don’t think he is top 100 tournament players in the world, maybe not even top 200 but you have to give him some credit for keeping up with the modern poker studies.
You may want to read again what I wrote which included the words "But I do believe that most of the top players today have (and continue to study on a regular basis)"

Dneg's annual wsop vlog is surely entertaining by most part and it's nice watch for people who dont attend the tourney to get the remote experience on what's going on there.

Dnegs i think plays pretty bad omaha in the vlogs, holdem no limit he's decent and the fied is super soft, and Razz he is actually prolly pretty good compared to the field so no wonder he won razz tourney.
It was also quite funny he was seemingly panicking busting out from tourney after tourney - before he cashed out big time and won a tourney. Then after the cash he was such a good mood many days in a row. A bit surprising an experienced pro gets influenced by short term results so much.
Also is dnegs staked genrally? Because he gambles with **** hands a lot trying to win tourney which is -EV, usually people who are staked play like that

I think the bottom line to all of this is that Negreanu just can't beat the top players of today. Yes, there was a time when he was probably a top player, at least in the tournaments, but those days are over.

It has to do with you coming into a thread to say “he can’t beat top players anymore” (as a fact, not an opinion). When he just won the PPC.
The bottom line is that your posts used to carry weight but you haven’t studied Internet forums and modern posting techniques for over 250 hours so you can’t compete with the top comments anymore. You should retire.

Lately i was watching old high stakes poker TV series when Daniel Negreanu first appeared with blond hair and blue shirt, he was doing table talks on flops where hand wasn’t even finished yet, giving away his hand strengths which his opponents used against him to get max value and he paid them off almost everytime and got mad in the end wow watching that i realize how bad he was back than as a pro, i remember one of his interviews where he said he made his first fortune sitting on poker tables grinding, i imagine how bad his opponents were back in the day that actually he made millions off them while he was that bad himself hmmm it’s unbelievable

And if you or anyone else peddling this worn out point ("lol people back then were so bad!!11") played back then you would have been even worse with 99.99% certainty because there was only crumbs available in terms of good learning material.

People were atrocious. If you don't believe me think about this- Mike Matusow was a high level player back then.
Anybody would be worse than 20 years ago than the 2024 version of themselves but what actually matters is how good you are relative to the current field.
I'd rather my 2006 skill level if I could play in 2006 games than my 2024 skill level playing in 2024 games.
He isn't a top nlhe mtt player like 15 years ago. However, if someone for some reason gave some grinder like much of the me ft buyin s for a bunch of 250ks and 300ks in exchange for 95% of the winnings, I don't know if they could fo as well as dn, winning 1 as t place in 2 300ks in the last 3 years
I don’t know what he gets paid. He says they don’t buy him into tournaments and for lack of other evidence nor a motivation on his part to lie about this aspect I’ll assume that’s the case.

Highly doubtful GG buys him directly into tournaments. I'd say his sponsorship is way more than $2m (I would guess $6M). Probably has some clause in contract that he has to vlog every day during WSOP and fire all of the high buy-in stuff.
