General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread

OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.

Just an observation.

Just finished Presumed Innocent. Here's the upcoming list of stuff to watch, in no particular order.

Gomorrah
Defending Jacob
Fauda
Dark Matter
Babylon Berlin
John Adams (watching on own without wife)

+1 to Babylon Berlin

Mr Inbetween is awesome.

My new go-to suggestion to anyone, and I’ve even gone so far as to say “Forget all previous suggestions until you’ve seen…” is The Patriot.

i watched this. was kinda weird. might've finished season 1. pretty sure did not watch season 2.

It’s weird as **** and a large part of why I loved it so much. I don’t recall anytime that I actually missed a show being on the air. Plenty of shows where I would’ve liked more seasons but I genuinely missed this one existing.

Same. Was okay/weird. Felt no desire to continue when S2 was released.

Patriot on Prime? Incredible series. Great score

Yup!! One of things I love about it is that if someone doesn’t like it, I get it. A lot of other greats I’d say “wait till episode….” Or “just keep with it”

Yeah it takes a while to adjust to/establish the tone or lack of tone. But it’s some of the best made television. I felt the same about Barry which is also great

Industry finally back next week, reviews so far pretty glowing

Loved The Patriot and Mr. In Between.

Also would recommend every Mike Flanagan show for those who like horror: The Haunting Of Hill House, Fall Of the house Of Usher, and especially Midnight Mass.

Midnight Mass has the most unsettling, shocking and haunting I may have ever seen. The show itself was pretty damn good, but that scene still startles me.

The cast was great for the Patriot, fan boy all stars.

Excellent, can't wait. I don't know anyone else who watches Industry but it's great. It's like an investment banking version of Euphoria.

Other than HOTD, only other thing we're watching is The Sympathizer. Thru 3 episodes, it's oddly engaging while not being something I think I would normally like.

ok I touted mr inbetween really hard from the very beginning and you all love it so for the love of god everyone find a way to watch big time in hollywood FL.

it's a comedy show and absolute crime it only got 1 season its one of the funniest shows ever.

The French woman should be in more things

Kept forgetting to watch Fall In The House Of Usher after not being sure I wanted to watch it to begin with. 2 eps done and this show is awesomely wicked! I was expecting more religiousy **** and that’s what held me up but this is good stuff!

Cowboy Cartel just dropped on Apple. 4 part series about a drug cartel that was running money through a quarter horse track. Reviews are solid.

I finished it yesterday, it's decent but kind of slow, should have been like 2 episodes.

My favorite part is the fixed horse race and how they did it and the announcers calling the time and saying wow that is really slow for this track. lol

nice, i'll check it out.

such an amazing show, well worth multiple rewatches, each time you see it you catch new jokes that you missed in prior viewings

Patriot really is great. I got so many people watching it now.

Really is an exercise in how to poorly market a show.

What do you know about non-sexual, same-sex cuddling?

haven't seen patriot but it reminds me of rubicon, a show that i had extremely high hopes for but never found an audience since it was both poorly marketed and a slow burn (basically nothing happens in the only season, it's just a long setup) and got canceled

Introduced my oldest to this early in the summer and we are ripping through it. It really is a pretty remarkable cast with some pretty impressive cameos and short term actor appearances. I'd forgotten how good Michael Cera is but still think Jessica Walter is the winner of the show for me
