Gladiatauren is the Chilean endboss himself (not actually from Chile just lived there when setting up his account IIRC). He played in my game during covid on occasion but always has been v v tough. Its just a different beast. At 25/50+ the type of rec player is infinitely different than lower stakes recs, and for a lot of pros once they hit 25/50 they dont go below it. The skill shifts quite dramatically imo, more "street poker" nowadays as everyone is beginning to deviate and try max exploits

I don't think anyone in this line up was winning in yesterdays Coin $100/200 game. Most regs understand that better games can warrant a higher rake, similar to GGs model where winning players subsidise the recreationals but for the games to run long term it has to be theoretically beatable for at least someone at the table.

Charging $250 (1.25bb) a hand with large antes at $100/200 results in 80bb/100 charged from the table, or $16k per 100 hands which is even higher than GGPoker. At least I will not be playing these games again. There is also a "bug" on a lot of tables which will show you a certain rake cap before you sit the table and a way higher one once you have posted the big blind for the first time.

The password protected private games are raked fairly (about 5-10% of the cap) which in my opinion doesn't look great but Coin seems to be doing a lot of other things well atm and I know nothing about running a poker site so who am I to judge.

A better way to put it might be for games to run longterm with players being able to break even, the site requires $160k of deposits per 1000 hands.
