LeBron > Jordan GOAT Super AIDS Containment, solved #22999 post by Matt R. (addendum #23174)

Very impressed with the minute sequence where LeBron clearly lost the ball headed to the rim, heat got the ball anyway and scored, then he elbows his defender in the chin, drawing a defensive foul and stern talking to from the official and hitting a 3.

It's these ref assisted 5 point swings in close games that truly bring out the best in great players.

So you've been giving him GOAT credit for the 15.6 PPG year also?

Must be nice to demand a trade to Shaq's team from day 1.

by Carnivore k

Who said anything like that?

Are you denying that many were complaining at the time that their winning chps was not good for NBA?

The Heat were hated at the time too, and most Lebron hate originates from 'The Decision'

Of course we ignore the other 4 GOAT level winning chp series, along with 25.7 against BOS in a losing effort.

But there must be a singular leader on each team who receives sole credit for a team's success (but not failure of course).

I guess I had team success completely wrong all these years.

It's hard to be GOAT level when you aren't even the best player on your own team.

Or another diversion.

BTW, there was virtually no discussion at the time about the Heat winning as "unfair".

Which of those 4 chp series was not GOAT level?

Perhaps 2 GOAT level players on one team? Who would've thunk it.

Already explained how the situations were different and how I hated both teams. Don't even know what you're going in about. It's fun to say 'Kobe' when you throw garbage at a bin, I'll give you that.

Nope, just getting a non-answer re Lebron winning only 4 chps in 20 years.

IRT Heat not getting the hate like GSW did, you did not explain anything of merit, other than your own personal feelings.

Of course we don't need to recognize the GOAT level of chp series play from Kobe over multiple years, because, well, because he had another GOAT level player on his team and that overrides everything else.

And I've also learned that individual awards reign supreme over the preponderance of major contributions to a team's success over time.

Kobe>Lebron is the dumbest take in modern sports.

Although saying a player did poorly by only winning 4 titles in their career is pretty close.

I never made the comparison. Perhaps you are reading too much into the discussion, that is "he brought up Kobe when everybody knows Lebron is better than Kobe!"

I only asked why Lebron has under performed winning titles, 4 in 20 years. In comparison to others, is under performing IMO. You apparently disagree and are satisfied that Lebron has only won 4 in 20 years, for whatever reason(s).

4 finals MVP's, most of any player in the last 40 years not named Jordan.

What a terrible career.

Again, a diversion.

Are you satisfied with an unqualified 4 rings in 20 years? Sounds like yes.

Rings are very hard to get. So, yes? Don't even understand wtf your point is.

Every post you've made is a diversion with no point at all.

It's difficult responding to diversions without diverting a bit as well.

My point was fairly clear. It was my opinion Lebron has under achieved with only 4 rings in 20 seasons.

You disagree, and seem satisfied with the 4 rings in his career.

I think we're good.

Lack of Duncan talk in the last 50 posts.

Lack of Duncan talk in the last 50 posts.

Agreed.

I'm always willing to admit though, that I think Kobe has the most aesthetic game of all time.

Steph confirmed as all time Top 10 now?

Curry is a legend, that was beautiful. I think his impact on the game has been so significant that top 10 feels right.

Current top 5 MVP favourites for next year were born international.

But, you know, Kukoc....

Exactly so how can u think this US team is an all time great ?

lets see how many past nba mvp the US got .
KD,Bron,Curry,Embiid and they barely survive vs the current nba mvp, playing basically alone...

And people are amazed they won ,man...

I never said this team was better than 92. I'm just saying the way to compare them is not to say "The 92 team blew out everybody at the Olympics".

The 92 team crushed in a sport that at the time was barely international and really wasn't.

If anything give them some credit for helping to inspire the world to make the sport a legitimate international sport.

Did anyone mention that expert jump shooter Tatum was 0-16 on jump shots the whole Olympics?

Kobe 2000 averaged only 15.6 pts. In all the other chp series he averaged:
-24.6;
-26.8;
-32.4;
-28.6.

That looks GOAT level to me.

Kobe's finals FG% is 40%, GOAT level.

Interesting that you would say Kobe going 25/6/5 on 40% in the finals is GOAT level, but Bron going 28/10/8 on 48%FG in the finals is not GOAT level.
