New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

so BK whole marketing campaign is have it your way.

they have no removed all customization options on doordash and uber eats.
used to be able to basically make it however you wanted on the apps you know have it your way but not anymore now you can't even remove the ****ing mayo that they slather all over the whopper for some inexplicable reason and you can godamnwell have it the way you get it or not have it at all.

great job BK go fk yourself.

BK dumped that years ago. Something simple like extra pickles are now a charge.

You still rule in my book rbk.

I love that privacy! Almost like a library carrel.

Perfect for family dining! 😀

The cook takes the order slip and makes the food behind the screen.

enjoy your time in tokyo mark!
did you use any of the wood markers?

lol no. Kind of cool though.

It was interesting that the electronic menu was available in english but the paying and credit card screen was Japanese only. Made for a bit of "Try that big red button" hehe.

As an aside, gotta love all the no tipping here.

What is the exchange rate? I heard it is muy bueno lately.

Everything is cheap! The above was $6.50

Currently at a curry buffet. English menu is in Japanese. So gl me.

Shogun Wagyu (? %) Cheeseburger

Will have to science this soon.. need to confirm it's the big crunch patty snd not the super horrible famous chicken patty first.

I don't know if using Kraft mac and cheese is better or worse than using their own. Interesting idea though and it does look good. Hopefully for your sake KFC in Canada is better than in the states. It's something I'd try knowing it's going to be mediocre at best like all their special offerings.

Made my second ever trip to Habit yesterday thanks to the heads up ITT about the free burger offer in the app. Can get up to a double with cheese. I didn't get a normal char burger on my first visit. Pretty good burger. But for $7.89 menu price I'd just as soon go to the InO two blocks down and get the same burger for $5.30. Got the Santa Barbara again also. It's also tasty but the bread they use just doesn't match the burger patties at all.

I'm not talking about adding things (altho even that option has been removed) I'm talking about requesting no mayo and those options were all available up til 2 days ago and I know this as they've been doing promo for free whopper or free fiery whopper for the last month and I've been eating a bunch of free whoppers and I always get em add mustard and ketchup no mayo and poof all of a sudden it was taken from my life and has made me sad (tho probably for the best considering my ever growing food baby)

right back at ya.

as for the habit I love their reg char burgers as the carmelized onions are superb.
I add my all time fav teriyaki sauce (east west sweet ginger teriyaki sauce available among other places on amazon) for an absolutely delightful burger.

I'm a massive teriyaki aficionado and have tried many different brands and there are lots of really delicious options but for my money this is the best I've ever tasted and it goes with anything you could possibly put teriyaki on and some things you wouldn't think could possibly work (got some cheap grocery store ca roll or tuna roll? add some of this and make it a gourmet meal)

East West Sweet Ginger Teriyaki Sauce 12.7 Oz (Pack of 2) https://a.co/d/4ZcMAbT

hold the pickles
hold the lettuce

shut up lady you upset us
if you don't like it
just throw it away

kids, this is what your parents learned from tv in the 70s

The Habit serves the hottest burger. The time from the burger cooking on the grill to it sitting on a tray to be picked up is seconds.

Speaking of BK, my local one, after a year of being closed down, re-opened today. It was supposed to re-open last week, but it finally did today. The drive-thru line was amazing. Backed up so much that it stretched well into the shopping plaza.

Why it took so long to re-open is a tale of intrigue. Rumor was that the owner when a storm collapsed the roof last year, just kept the insurance money instead of fixing the building. So it just sat. Until a new owner was found, who fixed the building, the horrible parking lot, and opened up again. A week late, but better than never.

Day 3 - Takoyaki ($5)

oh man how was this???

all your pics have looked delicious pls keep posting pics and would love to read even just a short blurb about your thoughts on each item.

rbk,

UberEats customer service is mostly useless. However, DoorDash’s customer service is top notch and it’s imo that reaching out to them about your Burger King issue may bear fruit.

Bear fruit, and hopefully customized burgers.

Thanks RBK! Interesting that the burger didn't have any condiments on it (They were on the table). But it was so juicy, I never bothered adding any.

I was really enjoying the above Takoyaki (Octopus balls) until my son reminded me that the brown flakes on top are basically goldfish food flakes. hehe

Went to our first sit-down dinner at Royal Host. I would call it a Japanese Denny's.

It was clearly a restaurant that was trying to be American but still weirdly very foreign. There was a lot of pointing at pictures. Was a fun experience.

Guess where I'm at! Onigiri sandwich.

Japanese Disneyworld?

Looks toxic.

Worse than Denny’s.
