New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

There's a Disneyland in California and one in Florida. You didn't have to travel so far.
Damn. I wish someone told me this before travelling all the way out here! 😀
Okay, It's because I'm trying to visit as many of them as I can. Each has there own unique feel. As an additional plus, Tokyo Disneyland is half the price of the US Disney parks.
Pon de rings (Mochi Donuts)

Filet-o-shrimp! Pretty good!

Sauces are 20 yen each!

Am I seeing that you can get a beer or red wine with ice?
I've come full circle and now prefer Chick-fil-A to Popeyes sandwich.
Popeyes not enough quality control and too much woody chicken.
that Japanese TB menu seems more Americanized that I would have expected. I assume the quality of your order was better than anything you would get in the USA (?)
the ramen bar looks so good. I have seen other foreigners post vids about eating in those booths and that looks like a great experience.
I think quality is the same, maybe less. Definitely cheaper.
Btw arcade games are insane. 100 yen (66 cents) and the game lasts 10+ minutes.

Hmm, I went to Disneyland in California in 1966. We only stayed half a day. Never felt like I much wanted to go again.
Several years ago, the company I worked for was having an all-company, multi-day waste of time and money in SoCal. A group that I worked closely with was going out early and invited me: "We're going to Disneyland!"
Nah, I'm good. I can't imagine much worse for me, though they said later they had fun.
I used to love Disneyland. I went often enough that I didn't feel a need to do everything every time, so I'd just go listen to the swing band in Carnation Court, ride a few of my favorite rides, and watch the fireworks. It was pretty chill. But then, I was able to get there in the slow season in those days. Went to Disneyworld in the summer once and never freaking again. Insane crowds, heat, and humidity.
Paris was fine, as the park was near empty. Almost depressingly so, tbh. Never done Tokyo, but I imagine that the crowding there is like their subways.
by no means am i a disney shill,
but if you struggle to find enjoyment from invitation to escape your everyday life, well...
I think the Disney experience is way better post-covid. Yes they cranked their prices (now $150-$200 plus fast pass costs) but they limit ticket sales to a lower level making for a better time.
Got a Jersey Mike's mailer on Friday with some really solid coupons. Used one for 50% off a giant today, they were slammed. I ordered via app and it informed me (correctly) that it would be 45 minutes. The #56 was worth the wait.
miss my former local jersey mikes
they were located in a building where the roof leaked into the restaurant at least twice, causing them to shut down for multiple days each time to come into health department compliance.
after the second the franchisee relocated to a spot 20 minutes away but not along a path to anywhere
haven't had a taste of it since
We thought the lines were bad in 66. Can't imagine what they're like now.

The vendor of the computer hardware we used at one of my jobs, had their annual symposium there. My employer sent me out, stayed in the Disneyland hotel. I never went to the park.
TB fans, set your reminders...

Look at what I got in the mail from Ronald!
One of their McDonald's had a feedback Gmail address posted on the front door. I emailed my pleasant experience and got this a few weeks later.
Only valid at the out of town mcds; luckily I can swing by soon. I'm thinking a double bacon qpc is the move, maybe +Mac sauce

That's a hologram btw
I never get anything like that from my local Mickey's. But it might be that every time I filled out a survey I ripped them a new one. They don't even do customer surveys any more.
