Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

So Nomad quit after half hour because he didn't want to play all day and still come out behind.

What way is that to think for a professional poker player? He's so obsessed with his stats, he probably just erases this day from the history books. No wonder he has maintained such an impressive record of never losing more than a buy-in, he rage quits if he ever gets stuck more than half a buy-in.

even at Red Rock, the game changes all the time. new players come in, more money hits the table, nits leave, maniacs sit down...

"I could never financially recover today from this bad beat" is a self fulfilling prophecy in incompetence.

calling himself a poker pro is a bluff

The Troopers should put a cot in the corner of their kitchen rental and rent it out on weekends for $20 per night to ELD.

They should hire the unemployables for their kitchen: El D, TBC, PMan, Bike King.

I would ask if a bathroom and shower is available, but Rice could use the three-bowl sink.

The Commercial grade equipment is large so they can make huge batches. Apparently, they already have some big event they will need to make a bunch for. But it will be 2 weeks to get one of the pieces of large equipment and still need health and fire inspection.

Maybe eventually they can get the storefront and then be close to the area.

They have moved from cottage sales to a full commercial license allowing them to sell wholesale to stores and ship nationwide, that requires a commercial kitchen

T hasn't discussed signing a wholesale distributor to get some shelf space or required nutritional labeling, product liability insurance, and lab testing.

Next step?

I think they got the proper labels months ago; I don't know for sure as I never bought any.

Lady T in low cut top will start talking to store owners about placement.

Okay it makes more sense to me why he is so tilted. It wasn’t just the one hand. He is angry because he has a hard time getting called when he does hit something big.

That’s probably a reason why he feels it would be so difficult to win that money back.

I still wouldn’t assume OMC folds any set that easily though. I agree with him that this villain probably sucks at reading hands, and would probably be scared because of the flush and straight possibilities on that board, but I would expect him to vomit and then call anyway.

If somehow I did have a flush there and thought villain having a set was likely, no way would I raise it to under $70 like El Diesel would.

100% Rice would pay $20 to sleep there.
Better yet, Rice would barter some of his labor/help and sleep there for free.

if he knows he is beat and the "villian" has at least a set, then don't raise the river. make the crying call or fold. his half-pot raise isn't going to scare top set.

LOL on what basis did you come to that conclusion? Just because Nomad said so?

We are talking about a guy who assumes everyone else at the table is an idiot who doesn't know what they're doing. Meanwhile he's the one who throws a tantrum and rage quits because he's down half a buy-in and realises he's too much of a nit to have any hope of getting ahead for the day.

Not like that should even be the reason for continuing to play or not, but it highlights the pathetic situation he chooses to put himself in by playing the way he does for peanut stakes.

higher rake = try to win more hands?

don't know why anyone needs to be so obsessed with rake. it is what it is. don't get into limped pots, try to win big pots, if you don't win enough pots rake literally doesn't matter

Higher rake is troublesome because that money gets taken off the table. Nobody has a chance to win it.

I understand that.

the difference in rake rates across Vegas is negligible. if you are so concerned about the rake in 1/3 you probably shouldn't be playing.

from what I've heard the lowest rake is at Bally's which also coincides with the crappiest nittiest games.

$6 + $2 at Bally's, you might call it Horseshoe.

Haven't been following this. Are they really making any money? I mean it's dime store candy. Is it even any good?

I think y'all are overthinking his rage quit. It's been building up since he left his job and it erupted in this session and hand.

Him saying he couldn't win back a half a buyin was shocking.

Him needing a couple of days off to get his mind set to play again is totally understandable. We have all been there.

Yea but none of us have been there after losing half a buy in after half an hour.

Mr and Mrs Trooper... welcome to the 'Industrial Age'.

Someone in the comments said those spaces cost $2500/month, plus they are buying expensive equipment. 1 year lease.

by MSchu18 k

I mean... good for them. I only wish them well.

FWIW: I think the Troopers are making a big mistake, but it’s all Christina's (Lady Trooper) money, so Trooper has nothing to lose.
My guess is, they're gonna have to gross $10K a month just to eek out a subsistence living, and they're gonna have to kill themselves in the process to do it.

Yea, but you underestimate how much easier it will be to make big batches now, also he said Lady T did so many 1000's of I can't remember which kind by hand and now it will be more automated as he will show in upcoming videos.

The only issue I see is, you can't be in 2 places at once. Unless maybe they can make huge amounts in 48 hours or something, (Jesse and Walt in a Winnebago) and then do markets, etc. the other days.

I can't wait to see whatever this big equipment is that takes 2 weeks to get delivered, it must be huge.

He wasn’t exactly playing at stakes normally played by poker geniuses.

We are talking about a guy who assumes everyone else at the table is an idiot who doesn't know what they're doing.

He isn’t that wrong actually. He does normally play 1-3 NL.

I actually disagree with some comments here. Even an obvious nit should be able to get some action in a 1-3 game. Maybe his winrate isn’t higher because of bluffs (and other mistakes) that he makes like this one.

Playing like a nit isn't a mistake, or at least giving the perception of being a nit as long as you're making some timely bluffs in a session.

Diesel's issue is he makes 1-2 bluffs a year and rages when the one bluff he's been building himself up for doesn't go through.

Lol he's no better than they are. At least they are there recreationally, not trying to pay the bills by earning $7 per hour from grinding 1/3 comps and promos.

Nomad simply plays tighter than everyone else in the world. That's the only way he is able to break even or profit ever so slightly. That's why when he loses what he considers to be a massive pot with AA or KK his head explodes and he flies into such bizarre entitlement tilt to the point he has to take the next few days off from playing.
