Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
One thing Trooper and Diesel have/had in common - for "pros" they played awful hours. They started at noon and quit at midnight, Trooper usually earlier. They play the hours that are convenient for them, not the hours that would net the best results.
Yea it's pretty astounding. His whole " I play a lot of hours they can't all be prime hours " spiel makes no sense. Playing day time hours in some dirt 1/2 nl game is a complete waste of time as a monkey making endeavor. If you're a pro you play when the games are good. He'll table change a bunch but then he'll play this shitty hours.
I've played with a hand full of grinders like Trooper. They're gonna play their set schedule. They'll sit in some **** game all day long to hit 8 hours or whatever and then they'll go home and a specific time now matter what even if the game is amazing.
I understand it from recreational players who might get one day a week to play, they have to keep a normal sleep schedule for work etc. But for so called pros it's embarrassing.

Not just the time of day but always playing the center Strip poker rooms.
Mandalay was a gold mine for years.
Red Rock and South Point are solid at night and on the weekends.
But no. Diesel is a Vegas poker room expert even though the bulk of his hours is at Horseshoe during the day to early evenings and MGM during their hours promo.
Of course your view of the Vegas player pool is going to be skewed to scared super nits that never put chips in the pot nor pay off any hand when scare cards come even if it makes no sense for Diesel to have those scare cards connect with his range.
Most of the player pools are level one thinkers who see a $75 bet as massive and will folds sets.
But Diesel can’t figure out why someone as sharp as him has seen his historic lifetime $14/hr over 10000 hours plummet to what it is now.
He's not even your typical nit. He plays hours on end and rarely wins or loses more than even 1 buy in. He's playing so incredibly tight it's absurd. And to top it off he thinks these microscopic swings are a brag.
Yeah that’s true I thought that part was very strange.
In the middle of this meltdown he was crying how for months on end people fold strong hands when he has them beat and call when he's bluffing. Sounds like he isn't as clever as he thinks he is. Just from hearing him discuss a few hands it's also obvious he has massive bet sizing tells. People who play with him often must have picked up a ton on him by now.
I question how much of that is true. If he has been running worse he might become more stressed and irrational than usual.
Sometimes people get emotional and irrational and say things like “Other people hit their crazy draws all the time but I can’t get a diamond when I need one.” Trooper is one example. Trooper would tell us he ran worse than anyone.
Or maybe people have been folding to him when he has a monster and calling more often when he bluffs and it’s just variance. Or maybe he is making worse bluffs, or playing his value hands worse than before. Or playing in day games more often now. Or maybe more people know who he is because he started vlogging.
His latest hand example is an example of a guy calling him on the river, but he bet knowing the villain could have a set. Well no wonder he got called.

This is from 8-9 years ago but I don’t remember him betting much. He usually folded or limped into pots. If he bet any size I was probably going to fold, especially when a lot of the pots were multiway.
Nomads drug of choice is Copium. Him saying how few 2/5 games there are in Vegas is another justification for him remaining a 1/3 promo/comp grinder. It makes him feel better about his choices and what he's doing. Of course his narrative is always biased towards his own agenda, because as we know, there are plenty of 2/5 games in Vegas. Just not that many going at noon on a Tuesday which is where he is cherry picking his data from.

Both Nomad and Trooper are prone to being melodramatic, easily flustered and overly emotional. Nomad in particular is fond of exaggerating negatives to the point of being comical. Some examples just from one video:
"he's folded bigger hands on the river at least 10,000 times in his life"
"he's not putting money into the pot unless he has a royal or better"
"betting $30 for him is like betting the GDP of Italy"
I know a guy who gets so stressed and impatient whenever he is made to wait. If he has to wait for a minute to be served he will complain that he has been waiting 10 minutes. If he's been waiting 2 minutes, he will complain that it's been 20. The funny thing is that I think he actually believes it when he says it lol

As of now there are 15 (2-5/3-5) games in Vegas on Bravo. So that doesn’t include Venetian and Wynn. I would imagine by 10pm that number will be at least 25. But again its not a Tuesday at 10am. [emoji23]
I have a hunch the OMC said to himself,
"I'm not getting bluffed out of this pot by this dirt ball, I'm calling ".
Diesel's vlogs are unwatchable now because it's focused on continuing his daily streak rather than interesting content.
A weeks worth of his videos could be in one vlog pretty much but instead it's fragmented and 99% of the vlog is filler.
But tomorrow we supposedly get the results! lol
They'll work the same but make 3-5 times more. They probably need to make 5 times what they're doing now to make it all worth it. It depends on how efficient they can get with commercial equipment and more space.
That's why I think they'll just focus on the brittle as they can churn it out where as their other stuff although presumably very tasty, is way too labor intensive.
When I read the cooking process, it appeared that increasing volume (by hand) is difficult because of the batch size, cooling, sizing, and storage requirements.
They may "make money" because they completely ignore the value of their time.
Two people full-time should make $100,000+ a year in Vegas.
As a celebrity dealer, T could make that himself.
Maybe he can leverage his experience and hold a home (kitchen) game at his new facility.

No. Trooper could not make that himself as a celebrity dealer. He isn't that big of a celebrity.
And dealers in Vegas don't make as much as you would think. Partly because no one gets that many hours.
More rooms close every year. If dealers don't leave the city there are too many dealers. Most dealers in LV aren't full time.
The dealers you hear making great money are hot young table games dealers in places like Cosmo.

It is public knowledge that ELD's cutoff for a bluff is when ELD has a pair of aces or better. Otherwise he will just fold. Therefore the bluff is not a bluff since to counter it one should have either two pairs or three of a kind or better when ELD "bluffs".
Likely what will happen now is that ELD will wait for three of a kind before bluffing again and fold even more and rack up tier points and hours.
here's something new and fresh. I like the concept, the Poker Pilot
great editing and production. narration is a bit weak and flat.
haven't watched it all but thought it was worth a share
maybe I don't need to call it weak or flat, you could just tell that he was reading a script. preparing ahead of time isn't bad
what's his favorite pocket condiment?

I remember seeing his videos 6-12 months ago so not new. I liked the aspect that he travels and you see different rooms and different parts of the country.

yeah I see now he has like 13 videos, most of which are from 8 months ago, and a couple a month or two ago. just showed up in my suggestions, hadn't seen/heard of it before
better than ELD, PMan or Trooper
We don't need them. We already know. He will be +/-$300ish for the challenge.

Damn. I was way off. Lost almost $600 in 30 hours.
For his next challenge I suggest we all vote for him to play PLO (he won't) for a week. He'll implode on screen with some of the beats he won't be able to handle.
