English Premier League 2024-25
2024-2025 EPL Preview
Man City have set another record with 115 charges of financial shenanigans and also managed to win
Salah is such a bloke. Sure he isn't "best in the world good" like he was that 2-3 year period but he's still incredible.
How many more Dutch Ajax players does Bin Bag need in order to not lose by 3 against an actual good team? Surely we must be getting close now?
whatever happened to all the "salah is leaving pool"
did a deal fall through or was it just rumor all along?
iirc he came close to leaving in jan bc saudi wanted him. will probably end up there on ronaldo money sooner or later
on casemiro, brazilians are always a threat to get gigantically fat and disinterested once they hit 30
Goldbridge is going to be good tonight
That must have been quite the weekend in Ibiza when they decided to keep ETH in a job.
I think Slot spared ETH today and tried to keep his fellow countryman employed. Liverpool should've scored a few more tbh.
Didn't think we were that great but can't do much better than 9 points from 3. Couldn't have had a softer start tho with two shite teams away and Brentford at home.
Solid three points vs Watford, can't complain with Joe the season has started
I may be misremembering but wasn't he really quite good for the first season with them?
He was and you are remembering correctly. He was a major help in United winning their first trophy in 6 years and I can be happy about him for that. But, his decline last year and this year doesnβt fully make up for that first season (for me at least). Andβ¦β¦.he has another year left on his contract after this one.
You may be right, I'm not sure. What you can't deny is the rapid decline since he joined Man u. Again, this guy is only 32 and look at him.
Itβs also likely that Madrid knew he was done and laughed to the bank. They sold United a crocked Varane too. They didnβt need a Casemiro who was about to fall off a cliff when they just signed Camavinga+Tchouameni. Which shouldβve flashed warning signs, but Murtaugh+Arnold werenβt close to that level of perception

I don't believe Real saw this decline coming. What I do believe is they saw 60m pounds and they just signed 2 huge talented players for that position so it was a no brainer.
I agree with the idea that Brazilians are somewhat known for this especially when they get the big money, but this is pretty extreme. Casemiro shouldn't even be playing at this point.

do you think it's possible that players from areas like that have faked birth certificates from their local academies so they can be sold for even more money and sign for even bigger contracts?
you'd see that a lot in baseball, where the aging curve of latin players was shifted up 2-3 years where they'd be way better at 22 than most other 22 year olds but then be on a clear decline by 28 whereas most others don't start to fall until early 30s
and then, voila, we start discovering a whole littany of them had faked birth certificates because a 17 year old that convinced a team he's 14 will get a much bigger signing bonus
this guy even completely changed his name so has played professional baseball under 2 wholly different names from before he was caught and after

African players have had this problem before. Never heard this about Brazilians.
dunno about brazil, but african players have a long and storied history, including more than half of one of the nigerian u16s teams being told to go home because they were all built like middleweight boxers and turned out to be in their mid 20s, and kanu turning up at ajax aged 17 with a giant mustache

Was thinking about this guy rofl. Hilarious story.
βAs you know, itβs my last year at the clubβ - Salah in his post match interview on Sky.

United are in serious trouble.
Jim Ratcliffe is too tight. You need an idiot with a cheque book to win the premier league.
Ten Haag, the Dutch Stone Cold Steve Austin, doesn't have the experience and needs to go.
Signing and relying on Casemiro, a 32 year old in midfield is ridiculous. He's too slow. Real Madrid only sell you their players, when they are finished.

Yeah thatβs Man uβs problem. Not spending enough.
You silly silly man.
