General TV Discussion and Thread for Shows Without A Thread Thread

OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.

Just an observation.

I like Bad Monkey just enough to keep watching it. Not loving the Bahamas end of it so far.

I like it. It's not great but it keeps interested and Vaughn is carrying it.

The end of Reservation Dogs season 2.

The Patriot is a great show, seen it twice. I still have the train song stuck in my head lol.

Drop the the. It’s cleaner.

Yeah, Bad Monkey is a good time. It’s my favorite version of Vince!

blue eye samurai on netflix

I finished 3/8 episodes. I'm loving it! it's a cartoon for adults

Finished rewatching Lost. Goat show, Lost really has it all.
Final season is not good, but the finale is amazing so well worth the long journey. Almost all important questions are answered and no they were not dead all along.

Started Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. Never seen anything from Bourdain, but its a great show. Few episodes in and really enjoying it.
Love the old school feel, or is it to early to call 2005 old school?

With girlfriend also finished Vice Principals and now watching Righteous Gemstones. Vice Principals was amazing, Gemstones pretty fun so far.
Having Walton Goggins star is a cheat code at this point and everyone knows it. Can't wait for him in White Lotus S3

Bourdain is elite. I spent over a decade of my young life as a line cook in busy Boston restaurants, and the episode Into the Fire s4e10 where he goes back to Les Halles to work a double shift is the most accurate depiction of that life.

Plus you should read his book Kitchen Confidential. Great writer, too.

Agree with Kurn. Bourdain can be a little snarky at times, but his respect for those who give it their all (despite some really hard situations at some spots) comes through.

Bourdain's shows are elite, brilliant television

New season of slow horses on Apple TV.

just checked to see when raised by wolves season 3 would be out and found out it was cancelled :(

season 2 was definitely a step down from season 1, but it felt like it was consistently building towards something greater

really sad it'll just leave everything open ended like that - super pissed they didn't know ahead of time and wrapped it all up in a truncated ending

feels like rubicon all over again, bunch of buildup and time invested and poof it's all gone

I despise how every show now aims to extend one more season instead of wrap anything up narratively.

Excited for this new season of Slow Horses though

People may laugh at me for my "show must be over or the ending announced" policy, but I'll never be hurt like that again. The pain of the Sarah Conner Chronicles still aches inside of me.

Yeh hard do multi-season arc shows unless you're huge - GoT, Lost, etc
Either you are going to disappoint/annoy fans when you are cancelled, or you have to shoehorn in acceptable endings of the show at the end of each season.

Anyone done the Chronological Lost?

I thought about it for this recent second rewatch, but meh.
The flashbacks always compliment and co-exist with the events happening on the island. Watching a full season of only flashbacks seems really boring.

that was such a good show! really unknown too

Finished HBO's The Sympathizer finally, had to wait several weeks to watch the finale.

Thought RDJ was maybe the worst part about the whole show.

Finale was a very strong episode though.

And the cliffhanger at the end of the season when they canceled it! It was about to really get great. **** Fox.

Easily. But I'm not sure it wasn't deliberate as a send up of the "token" Asian actor of earlier American media.

Yeah last episode of last season I was thinking oh damn next season will by very cool...we are going back to the future.

Lena Headey was in several good things like the first "The Purge" and "300" and yes "Game of Thrones" - Cersei Lannister for those trying to place her.

Sarah Conor had one of the better TV deaths. Out of nowhere boom!

Wish it were on streaming somewhere in Canada cause I'd watch it again.

Early century Mortal Kombat ended without warning also.

I've already watched it through 3 times, so thought it would be a little change for the next watch. Just would be different to know the characters before they get there. See if it changes the experience. Would **** Desmond's story line though.
