[CoinPoker] - Ex-Official - Bringing the Game Back to Players

Hello Everyone,
This is the Official Thread of CoinPoker (previous thread)

CoinPoker: The Decentralized Poker Room Built for Players, by Players

Developed by an ambitious team of poker lovers, CoinPoker is a revolutionary platform that uses blockchain technology to address key issues in the poker industry. Despite being far from our vision for CoinPoker as the biggest poker room in the world, our team is proud to be the first project of its kind to deliver on the promises made during its ICO period.

Lengthy payment processing, limited transparency on fair play, as well as a blase attitude towards community feedback are just some of the prevalent problems in today’s online poker world. Since CoinPoker launched at the end of 2017, it has attracted a growing community of players and investors who share the same goal of bringing the game back to players.
Using Decentralized Technology to Ensure Fair Play
One of the key benefits of the blockchain movement is that it empowers users by adding transparency and convenience to traditional services. Poker rooms in particularly reserve the rights to hold player funds and release them at their own discretion, and as a result of complex payment systems simple transfers can be delayed by as much as weeks.

The Benefits of Cryptocurrency Powered Bets

All deposits, withdrawals, and bets on CoinPoker are powered by the cryptocurrency token CHP (Chips). The use of CHP speeds up payments, and gives players the ability to track payments to and from their account on the public Ethereum network.

CHP token holders are able to quickly move funds to and from their CoinPoker account, and for passionate advocates of the project it is a means to invest in the platform as it continues to grow and expand. It is also possible to exchange ETH tokens to CHP inside the CoinPoker app, making it as easy to acquire as one of the most popular assets on the crypto market.

Available on a growing list of exchanges including KuCoin and HitBTC, CHP tokens are in the process of being adopted by other gaming businesses in the near future.

Player Impact Shown on a Decentralized Random Number Generator (RNG)

Fast payment processing is not the only way CoinPoker wields decentralized technology for the benefit of the player. Random number generators (RNGs) used to shuffle decks in a variety of card games (poker included) have often been scrutinized by players as mysterious and, as a result, they are often approached with suspicion.

Trust is essential between a player and poker room for the experience to be optimal, which is why CoinPoker will be introducing a fully decentralized RNG this year. The feature will be the first of its kind in the poker industry, and will give players the possibility to view their impact on dealt hands in a visual dashboard alongside hand history.

Internationally Accessible on Desktop and Mobile

Players from all over the world are able to access our desktop client, and our launch of an Android app has already resulted in thousands of players hitting the tables while on the go. Coming soon is the release of the CoinPoker app for iOS, which we expect to release this summer.
CoinPoker’s Community-Centric Business Model
Central to our operations is carefully monitoring feedback from our players. The success of our ICO is owed to a diverse group of small and large investors, many of whom are now active players, and we feel a strong obligation to make sure their needs and wants are met.

This is why we have invested heavily in hosting epically proportioned promos from the get-go, in line with the promises made during the ICO period.

Millions of CHP Awarded in Large Scale Tournaments and Promotions

Since launching, CoinPoker players were given the opportunity to win a Tesla, collect over 400ETH in various tournament series like ETH Madness, participate in a 10,000,000 CHP Added Crypto Series of Poker (CSOP), and win millions of CHP in daily freerolls
and freebuys.

Introducing Rake after Operating Rake-Free Since the 2017 Launch

After boasting zero rake on games for over half a year, CoinPoker will be introducing rake as a means to facilitate future growth. The revenue will be allocated towards future promotions, development costs, and the funding of new and ongoing partnerships with leading poker associations to establish our brand and give players exciting opportunities to play across the globe.

Hi elfuego1111, our support team states they have sent multiple emails, but they have not been able to reach you. Can you provide the email for your request?
Thanks.

Does the hand replayer work for anyone else? Doesn't for me.

Ye works fine

Hi CoinPoker team,

Can you consider allowing DriveHUD, as a player its important for me to track my results and progress. Unfortunately if I can't track my hands, I will have to move to another site when I really want to support CoinPoker

If it's not used while playing, just offline to analyze your results, we do allow DriveHUD. You can request your HHs from support.

I tried to deposit on this site last thursday, seems like something went wrong. Tried to contact them in several ways, no respons at all. Stay away from this site, i dont know what is going on but this seems not right.

We have now reached you via Twitter, our emails may have gone to your spam folder. The issue was depositing directly from an exchange to coinpoker's wallet address, rather than a MetaMask or other private wallet, or using the options under 'deposit from exchange' in the client.

In this situation once some proof you sent the transfer is provided - a screenshot of the transfer from your exchange wallet - funds are credited within 72 hours. Usually sooner. Please send us that via FB / Twitter.

We will also be updating the client to make things clearer for people who are new to crypto.

The HHs provided by you are not in a format that supports any hand tracker

Poker Tracker 4 imports them effortlessly.

Anyone else gotten problem with missing funds at CoinPoker? I used to grind those early stage freerolls and build up over 2000 CHP bankroll in the past. Sort of forgot / left it there when CHP plunged to be about worthless.

Checked back 2 years ago when CHP was up a bit, but CHP at my account was missing. Reached support (from newest message to oldest, account was correct and I think I was able to see my winnings etc. at the account history):

Hello,

There is a possibility that you might have a secondary account. On the account, you are emailing us from we do not have withdrawal transaction requests. Your funds can also never be removed by us. Only you have the power to do that. CP balance is also not subject to expiry.
Please check to see that you do not have any other accounts in which you held 2000 CHP tokens.

Hello,

I've kept my CHP just on my CoinPoker account, never moved them to anywhere. I don't actually have any other crypto anywhere, so quite unknown world to me.

Best regards,

Hello,

No, CHP does not get expired or withdrawn from your account without your permission.
Please let us know where you held those CHP tokens.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

So support was of no use. Just noticed that CoinPoker is making some sort of new rise and now that I downloaded CoinPoker to my new computer found out that my account was banned.

So CoinPoker seems like a pure scam site to me. Luckily just sort of lost time, but it is strange that they're trying to make a comeback despite same subpar poker client and 0/10 support. Considering how they screwed for about 100€ worth of CHP's I wouldn't be surprised if there's lots of such incidents.

Anyone else gotten problem with missing funds at CoinPoker?

Please DM your registered email and I will escalate this though to confirm if this was a case of inactivity fees - which all sites charge.

PokerStars, GG and ACR would have reduced a €100 balance to zero based on their inactivity fee policies (e.g. €5 a month after one year)

Since it's been 77 months that your account was dormant since 3/2018 it would've happened on any site you left the funds on.

Also you are able to go back as far as 3/2018 in the History section in your cashier, and set a date range between then and now, and see if they were transferred or withdrawn. In that email thread you don't seem to have provided this yet. If you can please also DM this.

We will happily give you a 100 USDT reload bonus or higher to make up for it too, you're eligible for booster reloads.

^ Support got back to me they found your account 'Farseer' which was dormant with a balance of 2415.3 CHP for over 13 months (same policy as pokerstars). They can reinstate it for you shortly

Okay, strange though that support claimed back in the days (2022) that there is no hidden or active "dormant"-clause at the CoinPoker (and I didn't see one back in the days). From last post, this is directly from Coinpoker Support:

No, CHP does not get expired or withdrawn from your account without your permission.

But I hope to see it resolved. For now it seems to be underway:

Hello,

Thanks for your email.

There seems to be a small technical issue with your account, you were not banned. Do not worry.
Your account moved to the dormant stage due to being inactive for a while.

We would like to inform you that we are currently working on your case.
The responsible team has been informed, and we will get back to you as soon as possible, after which you can try and access your account again.

Thank you for your understanding.

I can now confirm that my account is open and got my CHP back. Bit strange episode with 2022, but at least it got resolved promptly now after I posted it here.

Before you could insta swap CHP to USDT on your game account. Then they removed that.

But then you could still cashout your CHP as USDT to your wallet. They removed that too.

Now extra CHP is basically idling as hostage on your game acc to play more.

Not good.

Yup. I have even followed the steps to change over the CHP to USDT on an exchange, but it dosnt work, the transaction went through but the CHP is still in my account. Plus if you do this you lose 20% of the value of the CHP + you have to use Mtaic or w/e to pay gas fees. This is entirley ridiculous because your rakeback is essentially just used to pay more rake/get more rakeback, you never actually can use the money.

^ I've asked the team if we can bring back CHP swaps with some kind of monthly cap, the original reasoning for the change was related to the swaps being abused. Will update asap

Well on-chain swaps are happening each day according to CoinMarketCap. Are you withdrawing it to MetaMask and then swapping it once it's in there? You could use the swap function on MetaMask. When you say it's still in your account which account do you mean, MetaMask or which exchange?

And these swaps are not losing 20% of the value:

looking for somewhere else to play other than riggy or shitACR, this answer will determine my interest in checking out coinpoker again. I tried out the site when it first opened but there were barely 3-4 games running back then (and I was offered 60% rakeback by an owner that manually gave it in usdt if I could put in serious volume) but it was the same 5-6 regs always playing.

Rakeback being paid in a currency that's only meant for paying rake but can never be turned into actual $$ is useless.
Only other option is to stick with global with the horrible windows 3.1 gui.

I love coinpoker… but this withdrawal on polygon 1$ fee is greedy…….. I dont understand why every ****ing poker site is greedy as hell. Coinpoker has got low traffic why need this stupid moves? Clap… Clap... Clap… This attitude really helping to increase the traffic…

G-H-O-S-T

I have passed this feedback on, they used to be free and CoinPoker were paying the cost in gas fees to process them (≈$0.01 on Polygon right, up to $0.10 in unusual market conditions).

I could suggest it be set at something more like $0.10

terrible move by CoinPoker to start charging for withdrawals via Polygon... with as much rake as the room generates, it should certainly be a cost of doing business

Yep.. disgusting move this withdrawal fee… coinpoker unique feature is free “instant” deposit /withdrawal with polygon, no problem we kill this stuff…

They increase the rake to 5%…. Same as other greedy sites…

“We bringing the game back to players” yepp with same conditions as other online poker sites….
In the future? Maybe preflop 3bet rake?
We love kapitalism more rake and fee is better!

^ The team are considering how to strike a middle ground, will update asap. Although I can't make any promises yet the ideas are:

- have CHP swaps come back up a monthly limit
- More clear instructions in the client on how to use Quickswap if players use that after the limit
- have 1 free monthly crypto withdrawal on Polygon

To give more of a background on why these changes were made:

- We now have to pay fees to our new custodian Fireblocks, in addition to normal gas fees, it's a security upgrade for everyone but comes with costs. For withdrawals over $1k we even lose money
- Some large holders of CHP were consistently dumping and as the token is quite illiquid that was negatively impacting the price
- Swaps were being abused by some, to use the platform like a crypto exchange in combination with P2P transfers
- We are spending a lot more in 2024 on marketing / influencers, freerolls, giveaways etc. to bring more players onto the site, to benefit everyone

again like I said above, all of those "reasons" sound like the cost of doing business... "1 free monthly withdrawal on Polygon", which amounts to a <$0.01 transaction fee is not exactly a "perk"

Why is everything on the Coinpoker table so small? So much wasted space on the layout

The cards are tiny (but manageable), the real issue is the stack sizes - they are ridiculously small, need to be doubled or tripled in size at least.

Tiling 6 tables even on a 27" monitor and i have to squint to see someone's stack

This, and the note/player tag is really small. There's way too much wasted space on the tables. When you make a note on a player and change the color, the entire player card should turn that color, like stars does it.

As you can see, the player has been color coded with purple and is easy to see.
