Dad Deaw - dehydrated beef. This was ok, a little too tough maybe
Northern Tom Kha - a light and clean clear chicken soup with similar taste to Tom yum. This was great.
Chicken green curry -- nothing special and probably the dish we could've done without. But no complaints
Crispy duck on a red curry base -- our favorite. Sooo good and tender and freshly fried crispy.
Waitress suggested noodle dish Khao soi with braised beef -- very good. It was here we didn't realize this was a curry and we ordered all curries. But we finished it all. The beef was super tender.
Solid dinner and will always come back
I love Lotus.
has anyone taken the time to do Lotus' Brunch?
Lou's diner for breakfast on my last day of the trip. 15 min drive from horseshoe. Well worth the drive.
Only took a pic of my dish -- the waitress heavily suggested something with the sausage gravy. I chose the haystack - hash browns, biscuit, over easy eggs, sausage gravy over all of it, with bacon. All of it was great. Buddy chose an everything omelet and was satisfied. We split a short stack and those were fluffy and perfect. Even the complimetary fruit jam/marmalades on crackers were nice. Coffee refilled several times. Total was 49.80 before tip, which is a bargain imo.
i can't ever imagine driving that far off Strip when I'm there on vacation, but that looks really ****ing good
I went to Lou’s once and it was great. Super small town diner vibe, felt like I was at a truck stop in Alabama. Easily one of the better diner brunch places around town.
Lou's is definitely on the list to try. That haystack looks fantastic! Though I'd probably only be able to eat about 1/2 in one sitting.

Egg Salad Sandwich (Value)
A little over 10 years ago I was in Tokyo. I was lost, hungry, and didn't have much cash. I popped into a convenience store for a rice ball, but the cute girl working there pointed me to the egg salad sandwich. Up until that time, it would never have occurred to me to buy a pre-packaged egg salad sandwich, but I went for it. I took one bite, and my life changed forever.
Ever since, I've sought to relive the experience.
This one had a hint of pickle relish, with faint notes of Durkees and of capers. Careful examination revealed no capers, but I could have sworn...
A better view of the relish specks is above...
... but no sign of the elusive caper.
The wheat bread was delightfully fresh.
2 bucks, plus another buck for coffee.
Not up to Lawson's Japan standards, but a great dining experience.
Casual attire.
$2 is amazing! For some reason, I love pre-packaged chicken salad sandwiches 😉 I buy them in gas stations when on road trips, but they are getting really expensive!
I've heard nothing but good things about Japanese 711 or Lawsons egg salad sandwiches.
I just can't do it at all in the US. I'm never buying egg salad at an American 711. Maybe a royal farms or wawa
japanese place a couple of blocks away from work, not exactly fast and not excactly cheap, but they also bake their own milk bread
they put egg salad on all katsu sandos and also sell it as a side for $5.
the classic egg, kewpie mayo, yuzu, green onion

yes 7-11 is surprisingly a thing in Japan I guess cuz all of the youtube vids I've seen about eating there have been very positive. Like night and day vs. USA quality-wise.
add sushi to something to never buy at an American 7-11. A former gf of mine did this and offered me a bite. It tasted like what I would expect rubber to taste like and I instantly spit it out. The funny thing is that she wolfed it down (after LOLing at me) but then would rag on me about how crap TB was.
Oh man my last 7-11 was the one at East Sahara and Maryland Pkwy. For Camel smokes DaNit risked his life. They were blasting classical musical in the parking lot to keep the homeless away which wasn’t working. A lot of the homeless were inside taking advantage of a pretty crazy good deal of a slice of pizza and a Mountain Dew for $2. That’s a deal well suited for the LV casual dining thread.
Yeah, need to try Lou’s myself
Tamalucas: Birria tacos / quesabirria
Among the best tacos I’ve had in LV. Might need to go there today.

Oh hell yes... after all the Egg talk in the other thread, I am dying to eat that sandwich.
where is that?
Anyone been to Angie's lobster rolls for some value lobster? I've heard good things.
The Angie's is near my house but I don't like seafood.
Mschu, aren't you by South Point? Try Pullman Bread on Blue Diamond and Decatur. It's a Japanese bakery that serves egg sandwiches. Angie's is just on the other side of Decatur.
Not yet... and its right up the street from me.
It's been way too crowded, but from the looks of it it must be good. that place is packed every single day.
and that leaves me wondering... where the heck are they getting all the lobster from? farmed?
