in the early 2000s. wild burros were all over the Red Rock Canyon area (these are the hills west of Las Vegas). If you went out there and didn't see one any given day, it was unusual.
in the mid-2000s, BLM rounded most of them all up and moved them to parts unknown. My guess is because they started building houses out there which meant more traffic and more accidents involving burros along that highway. Now you rarely see them. And I miss seeing them :(
That bums me out. Seeing one of those in the wild would be awesome.
I LOVE subway street photos!
The guy looks like Aaron Rodgers putting himself into the darkness.

I’m surprised a thread like this hasn’t existed yet.
Just posting to get in before it hits 1000 pages.
I've seen the burros out there recently. Just a month or two ago I was driving thru to red rock casino and traffic slowed o a crawl and there were 8-10 burros walking down the road trying to find a way back on the blm side of the fence.
They hang out often in the town of Blue Diamond at the park where there is a lot of plush green grass.
nice 👍
I assume this is out in the Arizona boonies?

I see them probably once a year now. Last time was either this February or March when I saw a small herd when I was hiking in the Calico Basin area.
Nicely done...
I've always loved your LV/Nevada pics, Mschu18.
Here's one of the Napali Coast, Kauai....
that's a lovely place to visit... or better yet, live!
