When Ocean Atlantic city first opened they were tier matching the borgata black card which any poker reg had. After the tier match you could go to Ocean's lounge that had free alcohol and food.

The food was pretty good too.

Somehow they decided it was a good idea to let people bring in 3 guests. I went in there a few times and half the room was borgata poker players. The borgata was giving out some 15th anniversary hats for the poker room around this time and the lounge was filled with people wearing them. I hardly recognized any of these players and at the time was playing nl and plo so they were probably all 1/2 nl grinders.

I know someone who went there at least 30 times and always brought 3 guests with him. One day he tried to go and was told he's not allowed in anymore and his card was basically nuked. They said he can talk to his host about it if he wanted which was pretty funny as though he had a host.

After a few months they stopped letting people bring in 3 guests and now when you tier match you just get a one day pass.

And they also complain about games having no action.

The Laurel Lounge, some may call it the Diamond Lounge ... Lol

When I was still living in Philly and was in full on pro poker mode I didn't utilize this feature nearly enough. They had good hot food and I could have eaten one meal a day for $2 (tip I would leave for the servers). 5 out of 7 days I would have enjoy the food but I'm a picky eater. I also was a nite time player so I was lucky to be there by 9 pm

Not sure what the lounge in Iowa doesn't have that Philly did. I was always surprised the rooms in Vegas didn't offer similar...at least when I was there

He's done the same thing to me when I've commented on his vlogs. He doesn't like to be challenged and called out for his BS and inefficient choices. Diesel's view is the correct view always. All the naysayers are miserable people who don't play poker in Vegas and probably don't play poker at all.

Once I saw someone bring 2 ladies of the night with him and overheard them loudly asking the waiter "what's your most expensive champagne"

as you said they did nuke it after a couple of months once they realized 90% of people in that lounge were giving them no action

They probably have houses and do laundry and other miserable loser stuff like that too.

In today's video Rice grinds and doesn't even make enough for an order of fried rice (to eat with a spoon of course). He makes this big spiel about how late the room is gonna be open, how he is gonna put In a lot of hours. Then leaves by 1 am despite the games being good. I think he got scared when the $5/10 player sat and he decided to leave even though that guy left too.

Also free chicken tenders made his day.

Rice finally admits that people want to see daily results but somehow claims he was correct in this assumption (after years of denying it). Amazing how a little bit of YouTube money coming in can focus the mind.

Ya Diesel is such a liar. First it was "I don't want to give daily results like all the other vlogs. I want to show all the other things that others don't show that grind for a living." Then it was "I give tons of results. More than anyone. Who else has given their results after 10,000 hours over the past decade???" Now it's "Oh these daily results vids over the week are popular."

Now we'll need LuvDaVlogs to track Diesel's daily results since Trooper quit. Lol.

Can't imagine playing a full session and swinging between -$75 and up $25. But he says there's lots of opportunities for big pots yet he plays tighter than OMCs and not give himself more opportunities to play hands.

There really isn't anything wrong with being a nit. He just wants to survive at poker. He is definitely a 40 year old or whatever he is OMC.

He could have stayed in Vegas and had the same results. Anyone know what the numbers are so far for CB?

Oh really? From the hero's perspective, a lower win rate. From the table's perspective, a dead seat that gives no action and likely no social interactions.

It's hilarious how nits like Rice get drawn to poker despite obviously having zero gamble in them. Not only would rice never gamble in -EV spots but he won't even take +EV spots if he thinks they are too risky. His brain must explode when he sees other poker players gambling on slots and table games. Not that I'm advocating for such vices but you need to have at least a bit of a gamble in you in order to succeed at poker. There is such a thing as being too risk averse, and this applies to Rice.

I'm convinced if Rice was offered a 10k guaranteed win or a 50/50 freeroll for 1M he would take that 10k guaranteed. He really should have become an accountant instead of a professional poker player with his love of numbers and his burning desire to count and save every last penny that he can.

How sad that Rice missed the first serving of the chicken tenders in the lounge. He was only able to make it in time for the 2nd serving. Big surprise that he now shamelessly schedules his life around when they serve free chicken tenders in a casino lounge. You can't make it up!

Generally you're right and a table full of them is a waste of time. But there are some pleasant social nits playing for fun which is fine. Not ideal for the seat but it's not the end of the world. Social,don't berate people don't try and talk up their action . It's the least a nit can aim for .

Of course the silent tablet headphones giant phone holder attached to the table or even worse the cry baby but who thinks he's a crushed are useless and should be forced to play at the same tables as people like themselves rather than poisoning the fun for everyone else.

Booked a solid $1 win after 7.5 hours or thereabouts. But you have to factor in the free tenders which then multiplies his hourly earn by at least 20x
