A few clarifications:
- For the genre categories, IMDB will be the decider if a show is a valid pick. Use common sense, though
- For "Gone Too Soon", we're looking for shows that were not intended to be a limited series, and that have been cancelled after a maximum of 2 seasons.
- A lot of shows are eligible in multiple categories. Declare the category you are picking in with the pick. You cannot change later
- I will not be organizing a vote to pick a winner, but I welcome someone else doing so if you're so motivated
- Once a show has been picked, it's off the board, as are any reboots. Spinoffs are still good.

Freaks was my 'too soon' pick
Simpsons was my '10+ seasons' pick; think zeus made a mistake choosing pre-2000 for them since a lot more pre-2000 shows than 10+ season shows, but he may have an ace up his sleeve
Firefly was the other obvious one
Still tons of great 1-2 season shows to pick from, but those were the two obvious picks for that category so not surprised to see them both go round 1
firefly and freeks were the clear top 2 for gone too soon

Hilariously, I've not seen four of the shows taken so far, so most of my board is still intact

For my next pick, I have to wonder which categories are going to be picked over before it gets back to me. I'm pretty sure that this show isn't super popular with this group, but even still, it's one of the premium examples of a category with few truly standout options.
This is a show that my wife and I binged at the start of COVID, and has since become our daughter's favourite show, and something we watched together weekly. It launched an empire and began the career of one of the best producers in TV today. It's pretty entertaining, has had some good twists and turns, and can hit you with an emotional gut punch when it wants to. They do melodrama, interesting medical mysteries, comedy, and even a (good!) musical.
In Medical Procedural, I'll take Grey's Anatomy
Man greys is entertaining and has some insane acting but shonda ryhmes' shows all have this je na sais piss me the **** off
That said ive watched the first 8 seasons and love so many characters and still cry when i remember [redacted] and [recated] dying

My favourite Sci Fi show is The X Files.
It was great from episode 1 and I really loved how it was roughly a 50/50 split on stand alone episodes and episodes that followed the continuing narrative.
Stand alone episodes were definitely my favourite but I think it would have got old quickly if it was just stand alone episodes.
Without looking back at any episode lists I'd say my top 3 are Jose Chung's from Outer Space, Tooms and Home.
