New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Had the curdmonster today. Very good, intensely glutenous. I'm on hour 5 of digesting, lol.

Best of luck.

No chain ff recently but here are a few outdoor food trucks and a mall food court.

Spring roll and tom yum from the airport in lao when flying back to civilization.

Also forgot to take pics of the spicy chicken skin i got from kfc in Thailand  **** was good and I'll always be sad from now on when there isn't chicken skin on a kfc menu.

Arby's has an email promo in conjunction with ESPN Gameday. You pick the winner for the Saturday college football game and if you win, you get free food on Monday.

Sign up for Arby's emails!!!

We're currently in week 3. Gotta go with Miami!

I would normally never root against you getting free food mark but man of all the games you had to call out my boys?
granted I probably just jinxed them and they'll blow the 2h but boy we've looked good so far.

go bears.

np, lol

This sure was a crazy football day.

What conference did Cal go to?

Speaking of the PAC-12, it's amazing how so many of the teams are ranked or near ranked. If not for so much stupidity between the parties, the PAC-12 would've been a nice conference this year.

Damn, that was nuts.

Lunch! Thank you ESPN/Arby's (Previous week).

I'd rather consume orbeez.

Spent the last week and a half in the South, where they have Cook Out. Still really good fast food. Had a shake for lunch about every other day, always a different flavor, I'm still not close to trying all 44. The only kind I was meh on was the mint chip.

Photo - Jr. Tray, hot dog, double fries, double chocolate shake.

ETA: Yes, there is ketchup on that dog. If I feel like ketchup, I'm getting ketchup.

I thought that fries portion looked a tad skimpy assuming it was a single side. Ain't nothing "double" about that IMO.

Edit: read again, and if the Jr tray has smaller portions then I remove my objections

Hmm, for ESPN College Game Day Arby's food: OSU @ Oregon?

I'm leaning OSU

That would be my assumption. Also possible that I ate a few before I remembered to take the photo.

Leaning OSU, but hoping Oregon wins.

BTW, Olive Garden Never-ending Pasta Bowl is BACK!

I've got decisions to make... Spaghetti Factory "Meatball Monday" or Olive Garden Never-ending pasta bowl??? Hmm, I got a plan! Meatball Monday tonight and Olive Garden this weekend!

Ketchup alone. No way.
Ketchup AND mustard. McMuffin approves. Definitely should be a “play” you should go to from time to time IMHO.

All I know is that in this very FF thread
AND
When you’re at Olive Garden

You’re Family!

Ketchup depends on the other toppings for sure. Add it to a Chicago dog and I hope you get a paper cut and get some mustard in it wiping your hands. A shitty quality dog or a fried dog with ketchup / mustard / onion ok. Chili dog? Ok.

Once you add relish ketchup is ruining your dog. Same if it's something like a hot link.

Cookout is a bucket list stop for me; interesting that they have skin on fries.

I'm not morally opposed to ketchup on a dog, have done so in the past, now I don't even think about ketchup on a dog, mustard only. Relish, grilled onions too

The QFC/Kroger's occasionally has Nathan's franks dogs at lunch, I may squirt a bit of the red stuff in one for old times sake

Interesting that deep fried dogs would be an exception; however I don't think that option is a thing on the west coast.

Only if it's regular relish. Dill relish is okay.

Home team imo

PSA: For Grubhub+ today/tomorrow max $15 off 50% off your next order min $20 delivery order for Prime Member Day.

I got Grubhub+ for a year for free cuz I have amazon prime and then they continued it for another year for free.

Code is PRIME50

In a similar vein, Arby's has 50% off any sandwich today.

I don't get Jimmy Johns very often, but I do get a sandwich delivered occasionally when I cannot get away for lunch. Today was one of those days. And it was also a different day! The JJ app gave me the option of getting my sandwich TOASTED.

I got an italian night club with xtra peppers, toasted, and I can say that the toasting is a game changer. Instead of the very average cold sub I got a delightful taste sensation. It reminded me greatly of the Quizno's italian sub, a fine specimen of the genre that is sadly no more. It was warm, toasty, the flavors melded nicely. A+++.

No question this was the best Jimmy Johns sandwich experience of my lifetime and I'm actually for the first time ever looking forward to my next one.

Habit burger giving me a free char with cheese for my birthday week. Actually free, no purchase required. I think it may be the only app thats given me a bday offer

It was my real birthday this weekend so I have one of these also. Rick's added a birthday freebie this year. All the options to choose from are cheap **** but free is free. The free birthday burger is the one time of the year to go to Red Robin. Order the onion ring tower on the side and it's a pretty damn good meal for like 10 bucks.
