The Hill: DOJ sues Virginia over voter roll purge
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a lawsuit against the state of Virginia for purging voter rolls on Friday. The department claims state officials violated the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) by challenging voters’ eligibility too close to the November election.
“As the National Voter Registration Act mandates, officials across the country should take heed of the law’s crystal clear and unequivocal restrictions on systematic list maintenance efforts that fall within 90 days of an election,” said Kristen Clarke, assistant attorney general in the Civil Rights Division.

Interesting, so if Zuckerberg started campaigning for Democrats and using his platform to censor people who were promoting suspicious activity about a Vice Presidential campaign and promoting far left accounts on his personal social media page, you would have no problem with this?
Just remember that all that whining about big tech censorship, media election interference, how it’s ok to share hacked materials with journalists and we shouldn’t censor them, platforms should be unbiased politically, these were all just instrumentalist principles, dropped as soon as they were inconvenient. In 2016, i think the markets had trump considerably higher than what the polls where showing. In 2020, they were fairly inline, which made sense at least to me because Biden was a strong candidate and was blessed with a unique boost of voter turnout due to covid and he still barely beat trump in three swing states. Now the market has gone from having trump around 38% in 2020 to 52% at this moment. That is a significant difference than what weve had. Im kind of torn because part of me firmly
The markets didn't have Trump much higher in 2016 than the polls did. My recollection is that Trump consistently traded between .19 and .22 on PredictIt during the month before the election.

Maybe I am on an island, but I kinda think things will be ok whoever wins the Presidency, and I dont have a strong opinion one party will be way better than the other. The way I see it, with Harris things will kind of continue as is, which isn't perfect, but actually isn't all that bad.
And I think most of the alarmism about Trump is overblown, and there could actually be some possible upside of positive changes, such as resolving foreign wars and much needed deregulation. The fact that Trump is being endorsed by socially liberal capitalists such as Musk, Thiel and Ackman I view as a positive that adults will be in the room.
