Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
And he went to Texas and didn't play any poker this trip. LOL.
I'm sure he sit out the bomb pots, too. Which is stupid if you are a for profit player. Yesterday, in a $2/3 game in a double board PLO bomb pot, I started the hand with $1900. I finished the hand with $5200.

Nice. What room? What stakes?

He is scared of Texas poker. He'll find every excuse to not play. He might play a couple of hours and win or lose $100 but he will have a hard time avoiding big pots like he can elsewhere.
He admits today he prefers winning small pots. Don't get me wrong. I love small pots. But I'll take a few big ones every chance I get.

He is scared of any kind of variance, because that would mean the risk of him actually losing several buyins in a game.
Its just beyond laughable at this point, having played the amount of hours he have under his belt, boasting about pokerlife andbeing a pro pokerplayer on social media- and still have such massive mental roadblocks.
So basically Rice is making a road trip across the Midwest to various poker room locations where he is NOT playing poker?
Kind of reminds me of the time Trooper got a free trip to Aruba from some online poker site and he was so broke about all he did was record himself walking on the beach because that is free while waiting for his sponsors to buy him dinner. LOL

The guy is unbelievable.

Lol yeah, almost forgot that Trooper story. Its so much gold to choose from.

What a surprise, he finds more excuses not to play. Between his trips this year to Arizona, San Diego, Oklahoma and Texas I think he has a grand total of 4 hours playing time. Just about the only place he actually feels comfortable playing these days is his beloved Council Bluffs.

Lol what a clown. Rice would be exactly the same. Wonder how many years he will keep up with the whole "professional poker player" charade before he decides to "retire" from the game like his hero Mark Voss LMAO

Slam dunk sign that things are going in a downward spiral is when poker players always comes up with lame excuses on why not to play.
All these BS excuses is just classic Nomad coping, instead of saying it how it really is: he is a massive scared money nit that cant sleep at night if he loses more than 20 bucks in a game, so he chooses not to play instead to avoid that discomfort.

Yup hes all about that #pokerlife. I think he just likes the fantasy of being a professional gambler. But the sad truth is he's actually scared of his own shadow and he is the furthest thing from being suited to playing poker for a living.

It appears ELD is only playing at Council Bluffs to get tier points and since the other locations earn no Diamont tier points they are useless for ELD to use his bankroll on. Other than stopping to make a video to earn youtube revenue, sleep in the parking lot for free lodging to save on Airbnb costs, and to resupply his vehicle with essential supplies of mayonaise, ketchup packets, hot sauce, napkins, and free plastic spoons.

Lmao, the resupply his car line made me spit out my coffee.
I mean of course poker players only plays for comps and tier credits. Who care to play to win actual money in the game anymore?
St. Louis, not Texas. A deep stack $2/3 game with a mandatory UTG straddle. Buyins at start are 200 - 1000, but after the first hour you can match the big stack. The game had been running overnight, so there was four players in the 4-5K range. A few in the 2-3K range.

Of course. And he's gonna not straddle when everyone else is straddling. Then he's gonna think he's running bad when he gets no action with 2 pair except when people have 2 pair beat. Of course the guy with a straight when he has 2 pair will have stacked off with second pair earlier against some other crash Texan so Nomad will think he has the worst luck this guy happened to have a straight vs him.
Blue car with the Texas version of the California Stop. Classic Texas.

More gold being mined from the Diesel comments section.
"By all word of mouth accounts, the games make up for it. But without factoring in the quality of the game, if you play TAG, rake is probably better. If you play LAG, the membership is probably better." - Diesel
Diesel saying rake is better for TAGs like him. He's so far from being a TAG unless it's Tight Autistic Guy. Tight players still play 15-20% of hands and open almost all of them. Diesel is sub 10% and doesn't raise unless he's nutted.
miserable for the win
If pman went to Texas he would play poker and win. He is better than Diesel.
Holy Smokes!
Diesel has got some problems!
He is traveling around the country to NOT play in poker games! The comments are numerous and absolutely vicious by viewers.
If Diesel thinks that he is going to have a perpetual annuity with YouTube payments, I would suggest that is going to drop off VERY quickly, much quicker than Diesel thinks. IF Diesel is not going to play poker, his number of viewers is going to collapse.
This is all such a shame, as Diesel managed to do a decent job of dealing, and made pretty good money for the time & effort. He really turned things around. Instead of building on that success, he has now backslid.
If Diesel were making decent money playing 2/5 (like $1,000+ per week) and said that he did not want to risk going up in stakes, I would kind of get that. A $1,000 a week is decent, enough to make a living off of. Playing for points & free food & drinks & $200 a week is another thing altogether.
Diesel was smart enough to get through college and to be admitted to law school? Then he decides to travel around, living out of his car, making $4/hour.
Compare this to the Trooper! He has a live in girl friend. By all accounts, a pretty nice woman! He LIVES in apartment that is reasonably nice. He has all sorts of pots & pans & can cook food whenever he wants! He can receive mail & packages. He has a bed to sleep in every night. Trooper also has an actual business that is making sales and appears to be growing.
This business MIGHT actually work and provide a living & solid future for the Trooper. I think the candy business has a brighter future than playing poker as a "pro".
Except no one is watching Rice for the poker content. We watch to see the hilarity unfold for this comical bufoon and the unmitigated trainwreck that is his life.
No one in human history has ever had such an inflated opinion of themselves, it simply isn't possible.
Diesel is the kind of guy who does well in school bc he's good at memorizing stuff not bc he's good at thinking.
Unfortunately for him at some point you have to join the real world and regurgitating minutia isn't good enough anymore.
