lol true, to be fair I think after I called him out on it he did seem to take a lot of the well-poisoning out of his posts so I give him props for that.
I just think that for the most part, Republicans don’t actually distrust doctors. They just distrust doctors that don’t agree with them. Ironically, they’re the ones that are more likely to do the genetic fallacy/appeal to authority in a fallacious way. Look at that rando guy who did some research back in the 90s Robert Malone.
Yeah I said something to this effect earlier. The very same people preaching distrust of experts when they dislike their conclusions will be the first to unquestioningly accept judgements of experts whose conclusions they agree with. Even when those "experts" are "conspiracy guy with blog" or "lady who says twin towers were turned to dust by space lasers" in some cases.
I would consider doing so if I were presented with evidence demonstrating it. You might be surprised to learn that your personal anecdotes are not sufficient for that task.
But I certainly hope not.

But it also seems right that that Harvard doctor was accurate when he said that most doctors are about as good as the better registered nurses.
On the other hand, the better registered nurses are NOT CHOPPED LIVER. They have saved millions of lives and killed only a tiny fraction of that number. They are also very studious, diligent, kind, and are good memorizers.
The problem is that they rely on rules and algorithms even in cases where there is some reason to doubt them. The smartest doctors are more likely to suspect exceptions. And the smartest people in other fields who are aedpt at recognizing possible exceptions who then go on to learn the details of a particular issue, have a good chance of being right when they disagree with the doctor/better registered nurse, type.

I complained about Federal Employees not provincial which covers doctors . We need more doctors and nurses
And its just not a reality were I live its across Canada and its not going to get better . Between Seniors and obesity and Fentanyl were screwed
Why not though? We know that there are areas of the brain that control language processing, language production, and whole hosts of other processes.
Where is the gender center? Why don't people suffer traumatic brain injuries and have their gender confused like they can with speech?
Health Care sucks in Canada . People are dying in Emergency rooms as they can't see a doctor. Good luck getting a family doctor as well your on 5-7 year waiting lists. Many provinces like BC are shipping patients to the USA to get cancer care

This website says that the average doctor has an IQ of 120-130 and the average MIT student has an IQ of 105. I'm guessing you don't agree with the MIT number.

Does it have stats for the average 2+2 P&S poster? I'm pretty sure if we cut a little bit (well, a lot) of dead wood, we'd at least beat out MIT.
I don’t think it’s physics. It’s just residential plumbing is basic. I know how my house is plumbed, any problem with my house I could fix with the proper equipment. I’m only calling a plumber because I don’t want to do it myself or buy specialized equipment. If i owned a 50 story commercial building I’d be much more inclined to hire a good commercial plumbing company and just expect them to fix it rather than looking at schematics etc.
