OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.
Just an observation.
Sweetpea (have watched 4 or 5 episodes so far its quiet good entertaining (think its on sky ?)

Yea, I like it, only 2 aired so far in US on Starz.
Disclaimer (Apple TV+) is really good so far. Directed by Alfonso Cuaron. The cast is led by Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, and Leila George (Greta Scacchi’s daughter, actress who plays the younger version of Blanchett’s character) is very attractive and very naked in eps 3 and 4.
The production value is amazing as well. Really curious how they wrap it up because things aren't adding up... On purpose, of course. And yes, that woman is phenomenal and those scenes were hot as hell!

I've watched 4 and it's a good watch. She was also great in Yellowjackets, which I hope comes back soon!

given three episodes left i'm assuming this takes a twist in the second half where catherine tells her side of the story that differs from the mom's novel in such a way we become sympathetic to her, with borat somehow becoming the bad guy
Finished Industry season 3.
Fantastic.
Don't know anyone IRL who knows or watches the show other than the ones I've personally told to go watch it, but it's great. Best show not widely talked about.
Season 3 finished very much like a series finale, but have already announced a season 4 is coming.
My wife an I watched it. It was pretty good. Ken Leung (Eric) did an awesome job in his role.
It shares one common aspect with Succession, in that it is pretty much impossible to find a character to root for.
I agree with that. Pretty much every character has moments or traits that are good, but they virtually all have massive problems too. I'd say Robert is probably the most sincere and innocent (?) character and thus the most "good."
Ken Leung is really great.
I finished Sweetpea. I liked it, it's six fast 30-40 minute episodes! It reminded me a ton of the show 'You'. Rihanna is the female version of Joe!
As winter is coming, wifey and I have made a pact to get through several of the "GOAT" status shows that neither of us ever got around to seeing. I'd rather go back and watch some of this stuff than sink into 1-2 season shows of crappier new stuff.
First up... Mad Men. Through 6 episodes of season 1 so far.
It's alright. Kind of just painting the character of Don, mostly, but a lot of the potential conflicts seem pretty evident.
I think the Elizabeth Moss casting was a miss.
Mad Men grew on me. I think I stopped about where you are several times before I finally fought through. Ended up enjoying it.
I made it through episode 1 or 2 of season 2 before I gave up on Mad Men while it was airing. After the hype for the season 4 finale, I went back and caught up and loved it.
It’s one of those shows where you kind of have to learn how to watch it. And it’s well worth it.
Succession was kind of like that for me. There were so many characters that you had no idea about.

like above, when it aired i had no interest in that type of show, i think it was during lockdown i binged it and thought it was great actually.
Mainly not being HBO had held me back from watching it. But so far so good. Best scene so far was when Don got dragged to that spoken word poetry bar or whatever it was and had total contempt for Midge's beatnik buddy.
I do appreciate that it is mostly 40-45 minute episodes. Easier to digest a couple in one sitting vs. longer 75-90 single episodes.
Saw an advert on BBC iPlayer for Tom Hardy's 'Taboo' and got excited thinking there was a second season.
Turns out not yet, but from this recent article looks like there will finally be one coming up! Going to definitely rewatch before a new season.
Very good show with a fantastic cast.

Mad Men is so good imo, top 5 all time for me. Hard to not drink whisky while watching though lol.
Im actually doing the same with The Sopranos at the moment, its the only 'goat' show i have never seen.
I found it hard to get into first 4-5 episodes, but im really enjoying it now middle season 2.
No idea if its gonna enter my top 10 when im done though, probably should have watched it sooner for that.
Mad Men #1 all-time
Watched most of the first season of Jericho, then gave up.
About a small town surviving after being isolated when a load of major US cities are hit by nuclear attacks at the same time.
Was ok, but the season is 22 40min episodes and just far too much filler/not enough interest.
Second season is only 8 episodes and meant to be better, but going to give it a miss.
I finally finished The Bureau. Great show despite my hating subtitles.
Started the John Adams miniseries as a filler before I find the next full show to watch.
Yellowstone final season starts Sunday, but I think I'm going to wait for final season of 1923 and watch them all in timeline order.
Can I beat a dead horse and complain about sound mixes of so many tv shows. If you don't want to be constantly adjusting the volume between dialogue and action scenes it's almost like subs are mandatory regardless of the language.
