when jbouton gained access to the mod forum and made benign allusions to it, the same people defending rafki were vociferous in their desire to permaban him. when rafki gained unauthorized access through whatever means and made what seems to be legitimate threats the same people voice their support for him.
Dude, bouton was banned for his long and illustrious body of work of being an insufferable, shall we say, eccentric.
They were in here first accusing me of the usual biased moderation and malfeasances. Not sure how I instigated that.
I didn’t think responding somewhat in kind would lead to a complete meltdown from a normally rational poster.
I gather he had just been to the 10/7 site.
I'm not sure judging him like a rational poster at that time is reasonable. Not if the meltdown was out of the ordinary for him.
Jbouton publicly claimed to have hacked the site and then blackmailed the owners and their deep state handlers. Lol at trying to draw a parallel there in order to attack "the same people" (I wonder who this refers to). Everyone knows the site's deep state handlers are off limits.
I was trying to keep this focused on rafiki but can't help but bring it up. Yeah mods shouldn't take extra abuse just because they're a mod. At the same time it's ridiculous to expect a mod of another sub to take extra abuse because the mods here are afraid of posters claiming the mods are expressing favoritism by enforcing the rules.

"the same people" who called for jbouton permaban are "the same people" that support rafki. its not deep state handlers or the sites owners or any of that. I am consistently just absolutely gobsmacked at your ability to make bad faith accusations and the way you misread, deliberately misinterpret, or straight up lie about other people's posts. not anyone with a shred of integrity would think I was refering to the site's "deep state handlers" whoever or whatever the **** that is.

This has been occurring since long before that conversation. I also do not think it entirely explains the situation, but it is an aspect of it.
No, it isn’t. We will mod this forum as we see fit. Victor is in no way the recipient of favoritism, he was banned for a month just earlier this year, and we will not have bans in this forum dictated to us from outside moderators. That you would bring this up in such an accusatory manner and ascribe intention to it that isn’t there is super gross, and you should go have a snack and a good night, friend, because it’s super inappropriate.
Victor being banned for a month compared to rafiki's perma is a great comparison which shows the favoritism.
Trying to say I'm dictating this to you as a moderator... not at all true. I have always been upfront about posting here as a poster, not a mod. I have dictated nothing. I have approached all situations in this sub as a poster and never as a mod.

Victor has never threatened me or accused me of not being able to tell Jews apart, so yeah.
I mean, I have never threatened anyone publicly or privately, let alone a mod. I have never sent abusive pms. so I dont think the comparison is at all reasonable.
and for the record, myself and crossnerd are extremely far apart ideologically in general and on I/P. I do still have respect for her however.

When less serious insults are voiced at you it's a permaban, when it happens to me (and from Victor) you look the other way.
