With regard to ELD, he calculated the amount needed to buy a house in New York and calculated the cost of being a Nomad and came to the conclusion it was more efficient to be nomadic. I think had housing been affordable such as around $200,000 for a single family home, then ELD likely would have gotten a job as either a lawyer or poker dealer and paid off a home in 5 years while eating cheap rice and saving on razors and hygeine costs.

With regards to Pman the likelihood is high he has some s

there's a ton of areas in the USA where 200K still buys you a whole lot of real estate

you can get a townhouse in Kensington, PA for $50K-$150K depending on the proximity to the open air drug markets and whether it comes with a squatter or not

he'd fit right in and would be within 30 min drive of 3-4 poker rooms

A long-time follower and friend of TBC that is retired and takes frequent trips to Vegas for poker, is taking TBC on a road trip of poker and is going to attempt to vlog some of it. This could be epic. lol

He would have no problems there. On his 7 day stint in lovely Baltimore and surrounding areas he seems to have stayed at the luxurious Red roof inn. He's putting that sweet Orleans dealing money to good use.

Pman lives by himself in the condo bought for by his parents, that's the opposite of housing crisis

US has one of the lowest rates of young adults living with their parents in the world, Italy's for example, is three times as high

are you seriously saying that El D would've lived in his own house making $5/hour playing 30min of poker a day if not for a housing crisis?

Not a chance either of them could've bought a house even if they were only 50k. It's like me complaining about the price of Gulfstreams.

I've met Lightning a few times. Good guy.

by angle_shooter k

It's obvious he is now playing purely to keep his channel going, earning that sweet youtube money and patreon money from his LOL newsletter subscriptions. Other than that, he's only playing for caesars status/comps. Maintaining diamond is a must in order to get discounted room rates and waived resort fees. Plus free grub at select Laurel Lounges when he travels to Council Bluffs and Atlantic City etc.

He doesn't have to play to keep his channel going. He could just make it up. How do we know he's playing in these places?

My house is worth less than $200k, in a reasonable neighborhood, but a small town. There's no poker within 90 minutes of it.

If Diesel really wanted to optimize his income he would live in a place in the armpit of NV, but still just a couple three hundred miles from SF, where he could travel to a couple times a month to collect all his freebie money. It would be far more than he makes playing poker, but if he really wanted to play, there are a half-dozen cardrooms he could go to on his way back to NV.

by DividedWeFall k

To kill time until he inherits the family wad. Big picture stuff.

May they live to 100.

The Utopia in Northern Nevada or a forest/mountain area in Northern California - an ideal town equidistant between San Fransisco, the Reno casinos, and a Lizard Ranch. It probably could be a rest stop - an Ideal location with restroom, vending machine and wifi.

here is a legitimate poker vlog challenge

haven't seen this guy before. he goes to Aria for a 24 hour session. and this was no nitting it and folding while watching the clock, this guy played aggressively.

I really liked this vlog. pacing is great, there is no bad filler, honest and not just selective showing only wins, keeps track, good graphics and audio, he has a pleasant accent, good and reasonable amount of vocal energy, good video (I really enjoy actual live table footage), clean and effective editing, just very well done.

Spoiler
Show

the first hour of 2/5 he is already down over $1000, three or four hours in he is down close to $2K, sticks with it and doesn't quit, eventually hits a heater to get in the plus side, moves to 5/10 and crushes, and at 21 hours he is up like $5k. finishes up $5K+

Spoiler
Show

compare this to the Great Red Rock Disaster, where ELD gets his aces cracked to lose $160 in an hour and tilt rage quits for like 3 days

Sure and he could also tell us he's winning every session and making 6 figures a year playing 1/2 and 1/3 but that's not in him.

Rice isnt an outright liar. He likely thinks of himself as honest to a fault. The only way he attempts to decieve his viewers is by omitting the truth when it suits him. He selective provides only the results that suit him and even then he is very careful with how he curates it and presents it to us on his channel.

Diesel has said when his current car breaks down he will trade it in for a bicycle.

GazzyB is pretty much the only poker vlogger I'm watching these days, pumps out really well made content

Agreed on GazzyB. Impressive of the content he uploads on a regular basis, especially during the summer/WSOP.

I found online that the Bonneville Transit Center has free bike parking and repair bays, a direct bus to strip, lockers, and unlimited showers, for only $60 per year. During high room rates a bike owner can live and shower at the Transit Center!

Been watching GazzyB for ages now. Posts on 2p2 as well as GazzyB123 I think, and that's his Stars username. Twitch streamer on top. One of the best vloggers out there but is UK based so not much Vegas content.

Today we learned just how lacking in common sense Rice is. He raves about these games in Baltimore and the promos. He doesn't care that there is $8 coming off the table because the promos are so good.

If this is true, why isn't Maryland his home base. He could deal 3x a year for about 3 weeks each time ( trying to recall these numbers from a friend who deals at MGMNH for their tournament series. And he would find better games than in Vegas.

There is no hotel in the Horseshoe Baltimore casino and ELD stated the parking garage is unsafe to live in and filled with mairjuana smoke.

Someone mentioned there’s a Florida version of Rice. What’s the YT channel?

You missed the Big Rice Bonus:

$225 rakeback for playing 30 hours. 225/30 = $7.50 an hour!!!! (If you fold every hand, you pay no rake)

All Rice has to do is fold waiting for AA/KK, hopefully gets paid off occasionally to cover the blinds, and all that sweet sweet rakeback money is pure profit, baby.

You have to play 30 hours in 4 days. That works out to 8 hours a day (7.5 hours playing with a 30 minute lunch break) and he racks up that $7.25 an hour bonus --- Which is a little bit less than half of Maryland's minimum wage!

Talk about living in tall cotton. Man, he is cruising in the shade.

Even better if he can squeeze out 40 hrs in 4 days, the bonus is $300!!

A distant cousin of ELD, known as Florida Van Nomad

Lastest video reports on $217 freeplay from a casino cruise ship tier match. He previously hacked his way to Hard Rock Icon Tier for comped rooms and resort fee waived at the guitar hotel which is a replica of what will be built at the Mirage. He advises to rotate among the various Florida Hard Rock casinos for daily freeplay amounting to hundreds of freeplay per week per casino.

He has a rice cooker with an inverter wired to his Toyota Sienna minivan alternator with a marine battery, a toggle switch to turn off so not to drain the Toyota's starting battery, and has accomplished high speed cooking rice on the freeway. He showcased his mayonaise and ketchup packets when making a sandwich in a parking garage and has displayed his shiny metal spoon as well which is superior to ELD's mere plastic spoon. He used to store his roller suitcase on the passenger seat which had a bungee cord attached to hold more items but recently added a lavatory to the passenger seat so now the suitcase sits in the back of the van.

Also on his resume is a go fund me to get a free RV and subscribers paid to fix his engine and RV rent.

Also he has a facebook group with 23,000 members ready to donate funds as required.

Sure would like to know who the loser is that messaged Rice trying to get some money. I'm personally offended that anyone who plays in Texas would try to get money off of someone who clearly doesn't make enough to be handing out cash to viewers.

Even if he does watch every day. What a loser.

Should just try borrowing money from one of the rich Texas guys he deals to.

What a loser. Sounds pretty miserable, too. Can you imagine telling someone else what they should be doing for 3 (imagine my hand holding up 2 fingers and a thumb) years and never realising his time would be better spent doing something else.

What a loser. If I was Rice I would have shipped him some cash if he promised to get his own life.
