Shes insulting Trump by pointing out that he took credit for Obamas work.

At no point is there any positive connotation placed on the wall. Its merely a tool to frame Trump as incompetent

Yeah a tool that also gives poisitive conotations to the wall.

How much more positive from the democrats do you want than the democrats do it better?

It really doesn't.

It really does. Not in your mind maybe somehow but your vote isn't in play.

It really doesn't.

You can and should admit an objective mistake.

NBC in september

Both Trump and Harris say they'll build more border wall. In this county, the parts have been waiting, and rusting, since 2021.

https://www.nbcnews.com/investigations/t...

It's not controversial, it's transparent, Harris pivoted in favor of having a border wall (because it makes sense politically to say that). Like she did on most radical leftist topics, including fracking and many others. She tried to run in the 2020 primaries from the very far left of the party. She tries to win now by moving to the center. Nothing strange, except if you want to claim she has any actual values or preferences, which like most politicians, she doesn't have, she just wants to win and is willing to do anything to win, which is normal and understandable.

Just praise her team sense of which issues matter at the margin for voters in swing states, why deny something that has happened and has been reported by all leftist media?

If that were an accurate quote, maybe, but it's not.

It's not a quote at all

It's not a quote at all

Correct (but you did put it in quotation marks). That's my point.

They were speech marks

And has there ever been any more than a handful of voter fraud cases each year?

Georgia audit finds just 20 noncitizens among 8.2 million registered voters

a recent state audit of voter rolls found only 20 noncitizens out of 8.2 million registered voters,
a minuscule percentage that invalidates Donald Trump's conspiracy theory about widespread noncitizen voting.

election officials across the country have repeatedly denied that
noncitizen voting, which is excessively rare and already illegal, is a real issue

A survey of local election officials in 42 jurisdictions with high immigrant
populations found only 30 ballots cast by suspected noncitizens in 2016.

Even the conservative Heritage Foundation, which advocates for tighter voting laws,
was only able to document 85 cases of alleged noncitizen voting between 2002 and 2023.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's attempt to sow doubt about the security of voting machines.
Over the weekend, Greene amplified a social media post claiming
that a voting machine was repeatedly "changing" the selections of a voter

there was "zero evidence" of a voting machine flipping votes.
The incident in question involved an elderly voter "who went to the poll manager and said,
'This isn't who I meant to vote for,'" and then repeated the process with the help of a poll worker.

Which is why I said if that was accurate you might have a point. But it's not.

I honestly hope you have a good therapist, just in case the election goes the other way.

It was accurate. it just wasn't a quote.

Here's another one:
'point scoring while stabbing ourselves in the back'

I honestly hope you have a good therapist, just in case the election goes the other way.

Your concern seems genuine, but I assure you I will be fine. I worry more for the health of the country and others than myself (women, minorities, LGBTQ+ etc.). I'm a straight white male.

It's not accurate. Accurate would be "Trump is an idiot for taking credit for something Obama did."

That would be the point scoring quote. It misses that trump was (correctly imo) criticised for the policy.

You can not mention it, you can ignore it, you can even deny it. But it's still there.

What exact quote are you referring to?

Do not question him.
I think he has a plan, just trust it.

Harris has a "no tax on tips" policy proposal as well

WI in 2020 was a bit different. Biden won WI by 0.6% and the 3 Rep paid pollsters gave Trump a lot more than the other pollsters. Traf was at ~0.25% for Biden and Atlas and Susq were at 2% & 3% for Biden. All other pollsters in the last 21 days were between 5% and 17% for Biden! So everyone was off in WI. The Rep paid pollsters were far closer than anyone else and 2 had it wrong in favor of Biden not Trump like they usually did. This makes me think that WI is the wildcard in this 2024 elect

WI was the worst polled state in 2016 as well, not really sure what makes it hard to poll or if it's been bad luck.

Just a birds eye view, the polling in 2024 is fundamentally different in a key way from I would say from 2020, 2016, 2012 and 2008. 2024 is the first time since 2004 where a comfortable Rep win is on the table. I think the possibilities for 2024 if you apply standard 95% confidence interval to polls based on historical data are {Comfortable Dem Win, Close Dem Win, Comfortable Rep Win, Close Rep Win}. All those other elections only had close Rep win as an option for republicans.....and 2008 probably didn't even have that.

I don't know. Wanting to have secure elections is a worthwhile principle that "Trumpers" have.

Obviously you don't share that principle. Each to their own I guess.

If we made it a societal priority to ensure that every citizen had a government-issued ID, I really wouldn't give a **** about voter ID.

by Luciom k

Harris has a "no tax on tips" policy proposal as well

Yes, and it's bad policy no matter who proposes it.

by Rococo k

If we made it a societal priority to ensure that every citizen had a government-issued ID, I really wouldn't give a **** about voter ID.

The thing is republicans wouldn't care either. If any republican concerns about voter fraud were legit, they would be livid at Trump for all the voter related felonies he himself and his lawyers/advisors committed as it completely de-legitimizes any valid concerns they could hypothetically have (but obviously don't).

Right, both sides, totally the same, etc etc

Jesus, the Dems have said plenty of positive things about the wall, bragged about building wall and actually built wall. Trump is worse. Both things can be true. I can't imagine anyone really against the wall defending the Dems on the border just because Trump is worse unless they are as partisan and thoughtless as a MAGA numbskull.

trans rights is on the ballot! or...uhh...
