These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

I think the funniest part was how the recovery was due to them being "less woke". Of course if the stocks were still down it would be because they were still woke. 0 predictive power, 100% explanatory after the fact. in other news, a truck driver committed today a terror attack by hitting a bus of elderly people, injuring over 35 civilians and killing one (so far).
Edit- it is still being investigated if it was a terror attack or not. the only evidence supporting a terror attack is the fact the driver speed up before collusion and tried to stab police officers and army personal after the fact.

Interesting story in Israeli media where it is being reported that Macron made a secret deal with Hezbollah in 2020 following the Beirut port explosion; where a specific French company would be awarded a contract to rebuild the port, and in return Macron would deflect any attention away from Hezbollah while they built their war machine on the border of Israel in direct violation of UN resolutions.
WSJ is reporting what was kind of obvious. That the US delivered anti aircraft batteries to Israel as a "bribe" not to be too aggressive against either Iran or Hezbollah. This is something all the "embargo Israel" crew doesn't understand, is that most of the "aid" to Israel is part of our foreign policy.
If you want to argue the US isn't getting enough bang for their buck that is one thing. But ignoring that most of the "aid" is conditional and part of the US pursuing its own foreign policy interests is just willful ignorance.

What little Iranian air defense there was was destroyed a couple days ago. So Iran is probably only going to escalate IF they get assurances from the US Govt that the US wont let Israel escalate past a certain point, most likely by getting assurance Israel wont attack their fossil fuel economy.
Israel's long arm has apparently gotten to the Supreme Leader of Iran. Khomeni is severely ill probably with cancer. It doesn't sound like a coincidence.
Iran was estimated to have over 3000 before Oct 7. They might be more conservative now, but they could still launch a lot more.

There were some reports they went after their capability to make solid propellants for rockets, which they can only replace with Chinese equipment that will take a long time to get back up and running. Not sure how accurate that is, though.

US foreign policy will be back to the original Monroe Doctrine in in 30 years, possibly sooner. Right now interest payments on the national debt are > the military budget and debt-to-GDP is at 1945 levels, at a time when the war is just warming up. Imagine the situation when China moves to control the South China Sea.
The only long-term solution for the US is to make major concessions internationally and focus on getting the internal economic situation in order. When Gen Z politicians are trying to figure out how to do that in 30 years, making cuts and devising what a sustainable trajectory looks like, something tells me that "aid" to Israel is not going to be very high on the agenda.

I get that most of you yanks can’t begin to understand what it might mean to have your family, friends and culture either destroyed or under threat of destruction but if you did you might begin to understand that for a lot of people there’s nothing to lose any more.
