I think the actual costs of the ingredients would be minimal especially for the pops. For the brittle it would be a bit higher but their margins should still be very good. The 3 main problems they have are:

high overhead costs of leasing the kitchen and the equipment

still very labour intensive to make, even if less so now with the kitchen

they are selling a relatively cheap product. Let's assume average online order is about $30. Let's be generous and say that the $20 of that is Gross profit. To

I would tend to agree on these three main problems. My opinion is they likely wont be able to overcome these hurdles, and i also agree with the poster that said in 10 years(or even 5 years for that matter) this candy business will have become a distant memory.

Edit: Also i would think 20 gross earnings on a 30 order is _very_ generous and likely overestimating it.

Anybody watching AbbyPoker? She's like a less-unhinged version of Corey Eyring (who she may or may not be hooking up with according to his last video)

I haven't posted here in over six months and decided to skip around and peruse a few pages to see what has been happening here since then, but as I went through page after page, it was all basically the same thing over and over again. Only some of the names have changed, lol. You guys are hilarious. Do you actually type out the same posts day after day, or do you have them saved and just C&P the same sht over and over? No matter what page I landed on as I skipped around to get somewhat current,

I posted the above a little over 6 months ago on April 15th, so I decided to check back in and see if anything has changed. What was I thinking?! Of course nothing has changed! Except perhaps for even more focus on the candy-making efforts of a former poker vlogger, lol.

Well, see you all again in 6-12 months.

Maybe.

But I'm sure you'll all still be here.

that's both people working 7 days a week for a year for not a lot
if a couple does that they won't survive physically or emotionally

There isn't a minute that goes by without thinking about making the next rent payment on the kitchen.

There isn't a minute that goes by without thinking about making the next rent payment on the kitchen.

If that kitchen is $3k a month (and the Trooper's provide their own equipment), then their pathway forward is going to be VERY difficult indeed! They have to come up with $100 in provide a day, EVERY DAY just to pay it.

Now if they can increase their business 5X, then it is absolutely worth it. If they only double it, then almost certainly not.

I would also be curious as to how/when the Trooper's sell out a good farmer's market. If they bring 100 bags of candy and sell out after about 3 hours, then they MIGHT be able to sell 200 bags if they can produce that much?

If they are selling out of 50 bags with only 30 minutes before it shuts down, then the probably can't expand that much. That is, they are closing to maximum selling capacity, and the ceiling MIGHT be 60-70 bags instead of 50.

I used to do trade shows that were somewhat similar to the Farmer's markets about 20 years ago or so. 90%+ of the shows were one day, and almost always either SAT or Sunday. I had a business partner, and we would spend the weekdays preparing for the weekend show. Once we had all the infrastructure up (invoices, flyers, banners, display, etc) we would work 2 days for like 6 hours. The day before the show, we would work 8 hours. The day OF the show, we would have to be up & running no later than 6 AM. The show would close around 5 PM, and 30 minutes for closure/packing. So the day of the show, it would be a 12 hour day easily. The work would also be hectic most of the time. HOWEVER, at a good show, we could EACH make well over $1,000 in profit. The top 10% of shows, we could make $2K each in profits. No show was EVER unprofitable...but the bottom 10% we could make $150/each.

The shows were like 4-5 a month, sometimes one show SAT, one on SUN. Sometimes there would be NO shows on a weekend, OR we would take a weekend off.

We would also likely book a weekday sale. In maybe 10% of the shows, we would make a commercial sale for delivery in the week. Those could be incredibly profitable, as they might be huge order.

So while Trooper is selling much lower value items, I think his gross margin is certainly higher than ours was. He is also not doing anywhere near the dollar volume that we were. We could do $10k at a show.

The Troopers MIGHT be able to get much more efficient IF one of them is primary cook (80%+) and the other is sourcing/buying ingredients, packaging them, doing the paperwork and 80%+ of the support. I would also imagine that the Troopers could well work hard, but there is probably no reason for them to be working 80 hour weeks or even 60 hour weeks. They could take off Mondays & Tuesdays (or only work 1-2 hours each of those days). Weds, Thur, Fri is spent cooking & producing and they go 8+ hours each of those days, and then sell on weekends. Sure, they are going to work hard, but with 2 of them, they should be able to get some efficiencies.

I wish them well. If they can keep overhead low AND expand both sales & margins, I think there is a good chance they will make it.

We can't impute their max profitability based on their videos. They were limited on revenue before they got their license. Without those limits they might possibly work more farmer's markets. I'm sure in an ideal world they wouldn't go to any at all and spend all their time filling online orders.

They probably are putting in 80+ hours a week anyway.

The Troopers are never gonna survive this fiasco.
Think about this, the Troopers haven't had a full-time job between them in more than a decade, and now they're gonna work 80 hour weeks?
Even with Lady Trooper being brain dead, this enterprise is sure to fall apart.
The Kitchen rental is a huge mistake.
I don't give this 15 months before the cookie crumbles.

Try a part-time dealing gig where he E.O. (early out) every day.
Every day he was on the schedule he call the boss to see if he was needed.
Not a snow balls chance in hell he averaged 24 hours a week.
People who post at 2+2 would go to the Linq to see him deal, and 9 out of 10 times, he wasn't there.
After the Linq poker room closed, Trooper uttered his famous words, I ain't never working for the man again!

He dealt every time I was there. Lol at telling me what EO means. Thanks for educating a dealer.

But the internet sales...lol. who will ever find that sht site other than his diehard fanboys? If somebody has some weird need to order brittle off the net a search would yield hundreds of sites before any sparklii sweets website showed up and once you get there it brings you back to 1998. Not ordering any food product from there.

I wonder if he washes his hands after he poops. I hope so because I've never seen him use gloves.

Wash your hands after pooping?? Thats Libtard ****. [emoji1787][emoji1787]. If you wash your hands how do you add flavor to the product? So confusing for Timmy.

That's the funny thing. If a search does bring up Sprkli Sweets and they do research, it will bring up their YouTube channel where they show you how little they care about being hygienic when making your candy.

It is a Trooper-flakes frosted sparkli flavoring.

As a newbie with double board bomb pots, I fell victim to having the overpair and getting stacked. Boy did I learn my lesson. Always have the nuts on one board.

Here's a small tip: if you have the nuts on one board on the river, bet pot if you're heads up to get opponent to fold a chop, or bet smaller with multiple opponents so you get multiple callers and get half.

ELD reports that Herbs and Rye stakes ELD $51 for the tournament which ELD exclaims is a low rake tournament which ELD enters after a trip to WAWA. At the end of the video ELD reports that a person is eating by his car in the parking garage and his car alarm goes haywire and this is why ELD parked in a new parking spot to complete his vlog.

by bobw525 k

Agree on the app. He could have had meetup games with players around the world. I know he plays on WSOP a lot.

Today's Rice video was more of the same. Three hour session with the promise of 12+ in the next video.

Watching the Magikarp video now and it's just proof that Rice wanted his cake and to eat it too. Play during the day when all the regs are out. Just put in poor hours at poor tables and say you play poker. Meanwhile this kid is playing late at night and the game looks incredible. $16 p

The guaranteed 12-hour session turned into 4.5 hours of losing at cash and 1.5 hours of a "low rake" tournament where hero stacks off in level 3 or 4 with top pair. Showing his tournament inexperience in the process. Again not enough details provided on the bustout hand other than that his opponent was basically in Rice's mind, a fish.

Of course the session was cut short when Rice is losing, he cant handle it.

Also its funny Nomad thinks alot of other players are fish, when he is barely scraping by on abusing promos 100 percent because he cant win at poker anymore.

Has Diesel said how long he’s staying in Maryland and where he is headed next? Haven’t been following too closely but in general it seems that he is much sharper mentally since leaving Vegas and way more relaxed. The heat, feeding his directions kink and constant monorail trips must have been frying his brain.

If Herbs and Rye is going to throw money away on Diesel in a tournament, he should just back Diesel 50/50 with makeup on the condition Diesel actually studies and improves his game.

Don't think anything is set in stone but in today's video he indicated he probably would be gone by the following weekend so he wouldn't be able to check out the Diamond Lounge.

He won't tell anyone where he is going because he knows he will get bum hunted

He's going to hibernate in his parent's basement for the rest of the year and through January most likely. He'll be hungry when spring comes.

The hibernation cannot occur until ELD earns enough tier credits and he only has until December 31.
