Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Pretty sure Israel doesn't give a **** about abortion laws in the USA, the second amendment and it's applications or lack thereof, how much you pay in property taxes, access to healthcare in the USA and many other things that are decided , you know, by those who actually run the USA
field executions of innocent doctors.
I think you'll find it's humanitarian evacuation away from a potential crisis point.
So pro israel people
was gallant good or bad at his job? will the replacement be more aggro?

no idea about details, but it seemed decent? I hope the aggro is increased at "the maximum physically possible" and stays there until all enemies of Israel are made permanently incapable of ever hurting Israel in any way anymore.
Who is fake? Younis and Amichai look very real.
Have you found any actual news source?
For which one? You quoted 2 different reports.
This is a big night for the survival of both "Palestine" and Israel. It's looking good for Trump/Israel so far.
Pause until election over. tks
in other years Bibi has used election day to increase massacres but it seems that today he used the election as cover to remove all his staff disloyal to him.
They are creating a safer future for Israelis. I suspect they are creating a buffer zone between northern Gaza and Tel Aviv. The irony is that people complained that Gaza was a big open air prison before the Oct 7th terrorist attack. It is now going to be a big open air prison. Prior to Oct 7th, life in Gaza was actually pretty good. They made a big mistake with their attack and now they will pay.

It seems the far right was threatening to leave Netanyahu's coalition unless Gallant (and others) was fired for internal politics reasons. It seems the replacement is someone with little experience or qualifications that the far right is ok with.
Hard to imagine this will make things better.

I think this is only true IF Netanyahu is willing to make concessions to Trump he wouldn't for Biden, because Trump will offer something else in return. I have no insight whether this will happen. But this is the only path I see how Trump being elected would be good for Israel.
So i hope that Trump now ends the non-sense of "east jerusalem", Jerusalem must be fully Israeli with no ifs and buts
Ariel Shatil is still making himself relevant I see.
Just to be clear, he served 30 years ago in the Artillery Brigade. He has no real idea what we do, how we operate and he has never been to combat himself (maybe fired some shells from a very long distance, and even that is doubtful).
He is somewhat famous among legal scholars as he was a part of a small group of reserve soldiers who sued the state back in 2002, arguing that they want to serve, but not in the occupied territories.
I just love "first hand accounts" from people who never seen real combat and did not do what we do.
