Apparently trump is underperforming rural counties all over the country but overperforming with minorities in southern states.

I haven't seen this confirmed, but underperformance in Virginia suburbs was the first real sign of trouble for HRC in 2016.

States don't stay red, blue, or purple forever. It seems likely that Florida is deep red now no matter who the candidates are, and Georgia may be solidly purple

This sounds like projecting. It has been about 6-7 swings states for months, not some red to purple discussion.
