2024 ELECTION THREAD
The next presidential race will be here soon! Please see current Bovada odds. Thoughts?
If there is another election one day, I recommend the winner immediately replace all the White House couches.
your failure here is not understanding how they frame it
no latino has ever had to work with someone in a friendly and amicable manner that they didn't suspect or outright know the person was biased against them negatively
there are many valid reasons for not liking kamala that has nothing to do with her race - reducing it to "they don't like black women" is both inaccurate framing and outright false - as you yourself saw nearly 1/5 blacks voted for trump
I disagree with your framing of latinos
minorities are often treated as very simple people
media was pushing the line that the puerto rico garbage thing could be decisive
assuming you are a dem, if someone at a kamala rally had made a bad joke about how your hometown is trash would you react by voting for donald trump?
course not, the suggestion is laughable. you have core values and beliefs and they drive your voting behavior. well, so do minorities
Just checking in to say I was obviously wrong. I don't care nearly as much about me being wrong as I do about the country I recently became a citizen of being wrong. Again. Disappointed isn't the word for it. Disgusted is much more accurate.
For those that voted for Trump and especially those that defended and promoted that piece of absolute st, just now I think that you are the stupidest and most vile pieces of trash on the planet.

And this is why he won. "Thank you for your service."
The government you elect is the government you deserve.
Laughing my ass off irl right now, Jan 6 doomers in absolute shambles
But remember, Biden outscored Obama by 12 million votes because why not, that wasn't suspicious at all, just a great victory for democracy.

This is right and it’s a defining and politically fatal characteristic of libs that they patronise minorities and treat them as a monolith.
If someone talked about Americans being garbage a large chunk of the population would look at the other chunk and agree, and vice versa,
I have no clue if anyone in this thread talked about or even thought a bad joke 3 days before the election was going to affect the election. I certainly didn't think that. I also didn't say that.
To whittle down Trumps extensive line of work on the topic of Hispanic immigrants to a bad joke from someone who wasn't Trump is beyond disingenuous at best and absolutely ****ing ******ed at worst.
100% correct. All the hate, "fascism", "nazi", "dictator" and "threat to democracy" talk. Regular people saw right through that non-sense and voted against it.
I really get a kick out of the fact that if everyone had just ignored him and let him live out his final days playing golf at mar-a-lago, he wouldn't even be the nominee. but no, you had to "get him" because he was mean. And he had to fight back. Great job, you helped him become president again.
Anyways, looks like I lost all my Harris bets. But the action sure was fun.
Donald J Trump.
First US President to win 3 elections in a row.

Agreed. "Immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country" is a much better joke.
So do all the cases against him go away now? And will he not get sentenced for the crimes he was found guilty of?
Well thank **** for that
So within that 3 points was right then - whatever the polls said Trump was always going to be at least 3 points better

The appeals process would have squashed them anyway. At least Trump now will serve out the term he should have got in 2020 and this political persecution of your political enemies that we would see in 3rd world countries and never your US will never happen again hopefully but the democrats probably need to lose at least one more election to completely rid themselves of that which I think the Republicans have done with Vance

Anyways, looks like I lost all my Ha
I don’t think they voted against it as in it was a motivating factor for them. I think they just didn’t care about that part the way Democrats did and voted for him or against Democrats for other reasons.
lol squashed
