So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.
Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.
A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

I know enough about the economy to know that prices were much lower and the economy was much stronger during Trump's first term then they are now.
Prices were increasing during trump's term and that's just what happened dude. Ya, covid threw another big bump on things--but if something went from 4-7now close to half of that was before covid.

the 9a is relevant only when something, unwritten, is broadly considered obviously a right and never infringed upon for a long while then someone comes and tries to infringe it.
that's when you invoke it. that's it's role.
can't really be used for something that states infringed upon for 100 years with everyone accepting it was their right to do, then you "discover" it was covered by the 9a.
and my reading is already expansive. for example it would cover a state attempt to ban owning pets in private homes.

if Texas bans gay marriage (and hobergefelles is reversed ofc, as it should per Scalia dissent) then they'll price the price (whatever it will be).

seems like there are people that move from texas to ca and vice versa.
it’s hard because there doesn’t seem to be good data looking at year over year emigration trends out of texas or the reasons why people move.
the reasons why people move out of CA are obvious though, which is cost of living.
again this is all predicated on a much larger difference in social issues. many people immigrated out of the south to north and western states because of the problems of segregation, for instance. I can imagine that would also happen if such a change happened again.

Obama sent cargo plane loads of literal cash to the middle east when he was president and the corrupt bought off and controlled MSM never even questioned it because they're all on the same team. His birth certificate was proven to be fake which was pretty easy to determine, it was clear that there were digital layers on it and proven to be created digitally and Trump only stopped talking about it for one reason and that was because people were literally getting killed for talking bout it.
They control all digital media (which was their plan for 20 years) so they shut people up for talking about anything they don't want people to talk about such as election statistical anomalies that no one can explain such as there sharp rises for only one candidate of about 10K votes in many different races (like what happened to Trump in 2020 at 3am), it's just like picking up a shuffled deck of cards and spading it and it's in perfect order. That's probably close to the same odds. And not only that, but every one of those anomalies favored the democrats. You're all degenerate gamblers on here, please tell me how lucky is that? This was 2022 there weren't that many mail in ballots like we had in Covid that needed to be counted. The examples from 2020 are much bigger swings. They're all in the documentary "Absolute Proof". They can probably still be found online somewhere outside of google.
