pretty standard these days for a teacher to ask what the pronouns are to pre-pubescent kids on the first day of school

my sister who is a hs bio teacher in nh is required by the school to declare her pronouns and ask the students for theirs on the first day of school (prep school so idk if public schools can mandate that or the teachers just do it on their own)

i know you probably view me as a monster, but i actually get along with kids really well and it's not an act, it comes totally naturally and probably the thing i am best at - it's to the point where i'm often the favorite uncle for most of my friend's kids and actual nieces and nephews and thus often end up spending more time talking to them than their parents

so i've had a lot of conversations with kids and it comes up, the pronoun game is incredibly common in new england, have run into zero cases of it in the midwest but that's also a much smaller sample

that's actually not something i am against

my stance is pretty liberal on trans, i just don't think trans women should be competing in women's sports, that you can't give a hall pass to anyone who's claimed trans to act as a sexual predator, and that we should not be telling children they could be trans nor providing them with hormone blockers or surgery

youth is a confusing time, as i've stated for a while, it took me a few extra years before i found women sexually attractive compared to my friends - to the point where i considered perhaps i was just gay and hadn't yet been able to accept that

i was also very unhappy in general

if i had teachers and all these people online telling me all my problems stemmed from being born in the wrong body and that if i just said i was woman then i'd get all this love and support it would have been a very compelling argument

but it was just a phase of youth

Why would I view you as a monster? We have very similar views on transgender issues except I am in favor of allowing people 16+ to transition given certain criteria (medical transition not elective transition)

everyone can do anything unless it's explicitly forbidden.

it's important to remember you aren't giving someone something by allowing him to do whatever he wants. he already can.

what you do is you ban s very specific slice of behaviors in very specific cases with heavy rationales that justify the banning. otherwise everything is allowed.

A decent amount of prisoners look forward to work to get out of the prison. That doesn't mean all though. But hopefully there is also a pathway to employment upon release for the top performers. I know you can't hand out fire academy spots like candy but should figure something out.

if this actually happened to my kids I think I could commit crimes. maybe I would be able to restrain myself but the feeling would be of absolute unlimited rage.

but it's Italy where far less than this would already generate such a huge outcry , that I don't think it can happen currently.
