To fill governor vacancies, 45 states have a lieutenant governor who assumes the position. In the remainder, the spot is filled with either the president of the state senate or the secretary of state.
In the House, the chief executive of each state is to call for an election to fill the vacancy, per Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution.

Maybe it's just that stomping your feet and saying no war/not voting actually just leads to even bloodier results like we're about to get. Reality is gray sometimes you have to make a decision between 2 bad options etc. Not participating when it helps the worst of 2 options is effectively the same thing as just voting for them to begin with lol

If the game repeats you can hope your decision today affects the future political offer, one of the 2 parties might decide there is enough people like you that they gain by being less pro war.
If a party is for 50 % capital income tax rates, and another for 45%, you can't really blame someone who thinks capital income tax rates should be absolutely 0 and it's a moral horror to even discuss them if they don't vote for either. They just have to hope enough people agree, and the 45% party drops their love for capital income tax rates if they want to ever win an election again.

Some variables being close doesn't mean all are. The argument you used also applies to many Ls who vote R on taxes/economy(ultimately small % diffs) while getting all of the social conservatism many despise btw
I don't live in a red state but I can sympathize with why these people are so angry, but they will be perpetually behind productive America until they change their whole culture. I said that about rurals and other conservative populations well before the election.

You talk like if democrats got 80% of the vote from people earning 200k+. They got 51% according to exit polls, 45% voted republican.
If you account for the fake jobs invented (or grotesquely increased in number) through regulation, DEI and so on, among real income sources linked to real wealth generation which would exist absent government thumbs on the scale, republicans are the majority int he 200k+ income bracket.
Democrats also won the under 30k income bracket.

I would guess it's around 2:1. We'll have to wait for the detailed analysis which can take months, but Trump was always losing non college degree holders by double digits and his small improvements seem likely to be coming from non college minorities. I also think STEM degrees skew very slightly to better schools so that probably hurts Trump. Like I'm sure he gets less than 10% of Quantum Field Theorists because 50% of them have a degree from a set of 5 schools which skew pretty liberal. And you've have to be crazy to understand quantum field theory and think trump is qualified and might do a decent job.

It's probably more than 50%, actually I would bet significant amounts of money it's more than 50% if we had a way to settle it conclusively.
He got more than 40% from people with a degree, and unless you think people with a degree in psychology or human science garbage or sociology or whatever love trump, then it's STEM that is getting to vote on the right more than the human resource ladies with crappy degrees

Lol you literally had to be explained how people write a Gaussian and last time we talked about polling you had no idea how exit polling works and presented as a fact it months after it had been disproven because you're innumerate. High school students in no rural areas can already do this and explain it to you. Just because nobody presumes you are even average doesn't mean you can say whatever you want.
