2024 ELECTION THREAD
The next presidential race will be here soon! Please see current Bovada odds. Thoughts?
If you can't write a Gaussian you don't really get to have an opinion on who is smart or not.
Lol you literally had to be explained how people write a Gaussian and last time we talked about polling you had no idea how exit polling works and presented as a fact it months after it had been disproven because you're innumerate. High school students in no rural areas can already do this and explain it to you. Just because nobody presumes you are even average doesn't mean you can say whatever you want.
That only urban and suburban high school students can write Gaussians has to be the best take in this thread thus far. I love it.
One day I'm hoping ED will tell us how he really feels about rural people.

I understand this approach to conversation might work among dumb democrats in academic settings, but it doesn't work anywhere else.
Ad hominem is never a good way to answer any claim about what you said, ever, no exception, among rational decent people (ie non democrat academics).
Doesn't matter your ad hominem is also full of factually false claims, even if they were true, it doesn't defend your pretty low IQ, logically indefensible take on STEM degree voting propensities.
STEM degree holders must vote for trump more than the average degree holder does unless you want to claim trash humanity and "social science" degree holders skew for trump more than the average degree holder.
You know I am right and your conundrum is "should i admit he is objectively 100% right or should I keep trashing him with falsehoods how I did all my life with people i disagreed with, with good success because that works in my dumbocrat circles?"

His people are "decolonizing math" at this very moment where they govern, making curricula a lot easier because otherwise minorities have terrible grades (and that would be racist), and he is still going with the "democrats are the tribe of good education"
Low quality immigration from Italy.
It wasn't people with a degree, or strong propensity to work in sectors of the economy the swiss needed us to, it was southern italians with no skills who came to northern Italy, and some tried Switzerland.
Some of them managed to land no skill automaton manufacturing jobs, some in construction and so on.
Many had criminal attitudes because that makes more money that working in high trust societies (like northern Italy was before they came, of Switzerland was), a full disrespect of local social norms (about dressing, how to talk in public, smell and so on).
Switzerland is much richer than northern Italy today (wasn't the case 60-70 years ago) because they filtered heavily
How Luciom feels about southern Italians is how ED feels about rural Americans. You guys might have more in common than you think.

It's funny you say that. In WWII by grandfather worked on trains moving German and Italian POWs around the US. I don't know much about it, but I do know he said he liked the Germans, but didn't like the Italians because they were dirty and smelly. I guess the story checks out?

Except my city existed 4000 years ago and only became "unified" as a polity with southern Italy 160 years ago.
We had one of the first universities in the world (officially since 1088).
We abolished slavery in 1256.
Depending on which historic account you want to check, we had top5-top20 per Capita GDP from 1200 to 1700, worldwide.
We have a proven track record of being one of the objectively best places in human recorded history over millennia.
While the USA started from day one as a collection of agrarian, very religiously nuts collectives, who genocide most previous occupants of their land, and enslaved huge numbers of people to do their biddings, so ecriture is going against what is the essence of his country and always has been, with nothing before that he can point out as preferable.

If I said you were wrong because you have a low IQ that would be an ad hominem attack. I said you were innumerate because you could not read basic math notation (though inexplicably you thought you could to the point of correcting someone who seems to know way more math than you) and earlier had an extreme inability to analyze polls which I showed. Your conundrum is you know Lozen, Playbig you etc are all the same. I said 2:1 is about my guess given Trump's college educated deficit, skewing of STEM grads to better school schools, and advanced degree holders (MS, PHDs) skewing even more anti- Trump. It cannot be way off based on what we know, you just lack the basic analysis skills, to see it, as you did when you made crazy claims about Trump almost winning white college vote, until I took the time to bother to teach you.

No I defined your TAKE as a low IQ one.
Read again.
PRETTY LOW IQ, (<- COMMA), LOGICALLY INDEFENSIBLE TAKE.
not a native speaker but afaik, you put adjectives or descriptive propositions about the noun before the noun, with a comma between them.

I am already on record claiming you have high IQ and you are knowledgeable about stuff in general, you are a man of culture.
Which makes your takes even worse.

You know I even had heavy arguments with PB, BJ about COVID vaccines and election denialism.
As for lozen, sometimes he is right sometimes he is not.
I have no conundrum about them because on the right responsibility is always and only individual. They claim whatever, when I read a claim I disagree with I say that and viceversa.
Democrats looking on rural people as inferior must be part of the reason for the election result.
Only because they are so terrible at politica they actually say that.
You can hold deep disgust for demographics for yourself and win elections easier.
Like democrats often do with low education poor minorities (as soon as he has money, a democrat buy a house on a white-asian only neighborhood, because they like diversity you know), but for that they are good at keeping it an "official secret".
Do you really think that someone who hates rural people like ecriture, likes urban and black poor high school dropouts?

This might depend a bit on how we define "has money"-- but I'd say that if the bolded were true then gentrification wouldn't be a thing.
In case anyone was wondering Luciom has now exceeded 100 posts in this forum in the last 24 hours

Oh for house buying, has enough for a deposit and his wage is enough to pay the mortgage, they flee the diversity they politically praise as soon as they can everytime.

Yes, that's as much of an ad hominem as me saying you are innumerate for saying multiple innumerate things. Making a correct argument, then calling someone an idiot is not an ad hominem, not that I even did that. It's when you simply attack the person for being an idiot and not addressing the actual claim, which I have not done.

I never said you can't disagree with them. I am saying the reason why you agree with them overall is why you would correct someone on what the Gaussian means when you obviously have not taken math beyond high school. Based on our interactions, I would not expect you to know or have seen that before, which is totally fine, 90% of people probably have not. But even I expect people like you to not go around telling people that Sin(x)/x= Sin
