Gobbo other Thread got closed by the mod said it doesn't belong in the House of Blogs, hoping we can have this one without Trooper talk.
This thread is to discuss local professional poker players on their journey. Please refrain from mentioning the local youtube celebrity who plays poker.

This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
I have to agree with Rice on some of the grammar. The your/you're has to be the biggest offender although there/their/they're is a close second of the uneducated, especially by those who demand people should "Speak English" in the United States.
A particular common funny one to me is car breaks as opposed to car brakes.
I just finished reading a post about slot machines where the author was discussing slot "reals". Yeah, buddy, you don't know how to spell "reels", tell me more about how you think slot machines work.
Anyone want to steak me with my new gambling system?

Only if Herbs and Rye is in town, then he can treat us all to a nice “stake” dinner!
I wonder if Rice has read A Confederacy of Dunces.
What is his obsession with Indicating the number 3 with his pinky, middle finger and fore finger? When I do it it seems so unnatural and uncomfortable.
The real reason is because he’s a ****ing weirdo. I’ll bet his reason is related to the way baseball players signal two outs using the pinky and pointer fingers- the distance between which makes it less likely to be confused with just one finger, which could happen at distance with adjacent fingers.
Just beautiful seeing Diesel lay the smack down on his haters. Although, if I'm being honest, it makes me wish we got to see him using his skills on the legal field, just tearing through opposing counsels' arguments and leaving judges in awe...

Professional poker players such as ELD vlog about logistics, budgeting, and grammar/spelling whereas mere amateur poker players talk strategy.

Here’s a scary thought. Imagine Diesel as a judge.
“Defendant used criteria when he should have used the singular criterion. His testimony is null and void. I hereby immediately sentence him to prison for speeding. However the radar gun had him going 10 mph over the speed limit when he was actually speeding 9.88 mph over the limit. Thereby, I am throwing out that evidence and defendant is free to go.”
A new community of RVs all equipped with generators in Brooklyn awaits ELD to hear and decide disputes:
Diesels latest offering was a real beauty. Any attempt at levelling an attack upon him via his YouTube comments is swiftly dismissed by way of these popular video reply style vlogs. He silences all critics with ease and precision.
He passionately argues that it's the very least he can do, and roughly gauges it to be a response equivalent to 3 or 4 percent of what he is capable of doing, should he so choose. In his own words, he couldn't live with himself if he didn't respond at all.
By far and away, his favourite means of invalidating any argument is by calling attention to any possible grammatical or language violations. As someone else pointed out, it would be a joy to witness his skills in an actual courtroom setting instead of just these vlogs, but alas that is a story for another day.
Carefully selected backdrops include the parking garages of a grocery store and Wawa, his favourite restaurant. He hints at a future video in which the grocery store will have some relevance. Long time followers will surely be hoping this means another one of his classic hotel bathroom cooking vlogs, featuring his trusty pocket blade and rice cooker. Who knows what gourmet creation he has in mind, but it's sure to include plenty of stolen condiments and cheap sausage meat.

I love how he says he doesn't care what fans think but cares enough to do these videos. He says he has done 15 hand histories. He has probably done more than 1,000 videos. So that's a super high percentage.
He also doesn't understand the concept of rounding. People say 10 bb/hr because it's a round number that is easy to understand.

Played a tournament in Houston today. The Astros just announced a name change for the ballpark today. There was lots of "It might be Daikin Park now, but I'm still gonna call it Minute Maid!" talk. Remind y'all of anyone?
ELD reports from Atlantic City Harrah's and reads a never ending litany of grammatically incorrect mean comments and argues that some of the mean comments are actually complimentary to ELD. Miserable viewers demand ELD eat more vegatables and stop eating breakfast pizza.
A discussion of minimum wage occurs and ELD makes a finding that he earns more than minimum wage, although ELD fails to mention California's $20 minimum wage for fast food workers.
In conclusion all critisism of ELD will be summa
You can exclude any discussion of fast food employment. He would never get hired. Would you want to walk into a Mickey's and see that guy handling your food? Even if it was shrink-wrapped?

Pocket blade? What are you, a heathen? Proper kitchen cutlery is a pair of cheap scissors.
With today's video, I believe rice has transitioned from autist to full-blown r*t*rdation, with this theory:
"If I played 4 hours and win a dollar, that's officially a win."
Therefore, my winrate over 9 years is 100%
R*t*ardation? What are you, a boomer? That term isn't used anymore in the manner you used it. HIGHLY derogatory. Highly.
There are two different win rates: 1) session win rate 2) hourly win rate. If you're a winning player, your session win rate should typically be between 55 to 65%. High variance players may be closer to 55%, but their average wins are usually significantly bigger than their average losses. TAG and tight passive players may be closer to 65%, but their average wins and average losses are closer together. The session win rate isn't a very useful measure for poker accomplishments, but it does serve a purpose if you keep track. If your session win rate is too high, you may not be playing aggressive enough. If it's too low, you may need to tighten up some.
I believe Zach referenced both his session win rate and hourly rate, and didn't equate the two.
He also just picked random numbers for today's video so he could make his point.
Four hours a day. 30 hours a week. 120 hours a month. 500 hours a year.
When today's video ends, there is a link to another video. It's titled My First losing month or something like that. I clicked it. He lost $71 in February of 2023 I believe. He was thrilled to put in 187 hours and only lose $71. He also mentioned he lost $1600 the month before but that doesn't count because he only played one week out of the mon
Do you think the results of any particular day, week, or month are statistically significant? No poker player should be giving much weight to their results over a span of time that's less than a year, and that's assuming they've played at least 500 hours. Honestly, Zach shouldn't really care about whether he has or hasn't had a losing month of poker; it means nothing. If you want to claim you've never had a losing year of poker, well that's all fine and dandy.

Who the heck is Zach???

Sometimes getting therapy is ok.

ELD would be ideal for Domino's. ELD can take the pizza out of the oven and then calculate the area of the pizza using the formula pi * radius ^2 / total cost then generate a chart exhibit for the cost per surface area of each size of pizza offered.
Next would be an experiment to measure the height of the pan pizza versus the thin crust to determine how much more total volume of crust is offered with relevant graphs showing the cost per volume of each of the different crusts. The curves would be superimposed on one another with each curve in a different color with a clear label which ELD will point to with a particular finger whenever a customer asks about the graphs.
